The River (II)

Asher gasped and yanked out of Beau's grasp. For almost a minute, he lost his ability to speak. "Is this the place?"

"Yeah." Beau came to stand beside him, smiling. "Isn't it beautiful?"

Asher took some steps forward. Before them was the most beautiful river Asher had ever seen. It must have been the effect of the sun or his eyes, but Asher could swear that the surface of the river glowed in a strange orange. Around the shore were beautiful flowers and carpet grass.

"This is... I don't know what to say."

"I had the same reaction when I came here for the first time. I'm glad you find it beautiful. I come here a lot."

"Do you intend to take me to the second place today?"

"Errm... No. Are you tired of the view already?"

"No. I actually wanted to request that we stay here a little longer." Asher sat some steps away from the shore. The cool evening breeze soothed him, caressed his hair. Beau settled beside him with his hands wrapped around Asher.
