Making memories

There was a cute part of Asher that Beau always found amusing. It was something in the way Asher smiled shyly and the loveable look of confusion that flashed across his face whenever he found something strange or confusing.

They lingered in the room for some time. Asher even fell asleep on Beau's lap.

It must have been an hour later when the sleeping boy awoke.

When they had freshened up and started out of the dorm, Beau made sure Asher stayed at his side as they walked. When it seemed too many eyes were on them, he gently pushed Asher to the front and slowed down to meet up his pace.

"Nervous?"

Asher couldn't look behind. "Kind of," he murmured. He stole a quick glance at the back when Beau's chuckle echoed behind his ears. A breath of relief escaped Asher. Beau's gigantic form did not allow him to see anybody. He guessed that it was the same for the hundreds of probing eyes sitting outside.

"You don't have to be nervous. I'm here, remember?"
