LAST Hope Of Arkadia

As soon as she was able to escape without being seen , she set out to look for the chief .


Kadia ran towards her father, the chief, and found him holding his bleeding stomach. "Father!" she cried, placing his head on her knees.


"Get the people to safety, Kadia," the chief said, his breathing shallow. "Gather as much as you can and take them to the emergency shelter. Protect our people, protect the Arkadians."


"No way I'm leaving you out here alone,"she replied.


The chief's guard came running towards them. "I'll protect the chief, get our people to safety," he said.


Kadia nodded, taking one last glance at her father. She ran forward and, once she saw Freya, she went to her.


"We need to get our people to safety. Gather as much as you can and take them to the emergency shelter," Kadia said.


Freya nodded and they quickly gathered some of their people who had survived. As Kaida stumble into the emergency shelter , they were met with a sudden blast of gas that made her eyes watered and her throat burn .


She saw her people falling to the ground , she coughed and gagged , her vision blurry as the spun around her . She felt herself falling , her limbs heavy and unresponsive .


The skywatchers had thrown a gas grenade and now Kaida and her people are at their mercy .


She could hear the sound of their footsteps approaching , the harsh voices of the skywatchers as they approached .She tried to move , to fight back but her body wouldn't respond.


As the skywatchers closed in , her heart pounded in her chest . She could feel the cold metal of her sword in her hand , but if felt heavy and useless , she closed her eyes bracing her self for the worst , a shadow appear , she opened her eyes trying to focus through the haze of gas . Then she saw him , her fathers guard 


For the first time she felt a glimmer of hope but no ! He brought out his gun shooting at one of the Arkadians who tried to escape .
