-Is That Mother?-

As we got ready for the carriage, I peeked and saw that Courtney and Bailey were coming along.

"Bailey?" I said slowly while putting stuff away,

"We are coming along because we also want to know what is going on and why you are leaving so suddenly," he replied.

I sigh and touch his shoulder, "Go ahead, i am not going to hide anything anymore,"

He smiled as he escorted me into the carriage. "Thank you," he said to me. I got in and i look over at Courtney,

"Wasn't my idea," she said while putting away her stuff. She then got in.

Thomas was the last to get in, "So how are we with everything?" he asked,

"Everything is packed, we should be good," I answered.

As we set off into the real world, I thought to myself, the lake that the Locket was dropped in. I feel it in my gut, she is alive.

Around 16 hours on the trail, ,

"So, what is up with this whole big trip?" Bailey asked,

I sigh, I turn my head and shake my head,

I already told my father, "I'm not from this world Bailey,"

His response wasn't expected, "W-What do you mean?"

My eyes turn a hue of blue, "I originate from another world, so does my brother,"

Thomas wasn't shocked that I put us out like that,

"It is true what she says" Thomas flips his page of the book and turns it over,

'REINCARNATION' it had read,

"Reincarnation…?" Bailey slowly said, i nod.

I went into an explanation for him. "So basically, the original owner of this body couldn't withstand the power it wielded."

"I see," His eyes wandered off,

I understand, it is a lot to take in.

"I knew from the beginning" Courtney blurted out.

"I had a feeling you did," I put the palm of my hand on my chin with a smirk.

Kaboom!

Loud explosion was heard, and the carriage shook from the wheels to the top.

My head turned and I saw a dragon in the mist.

"Why is there a dragon this far out!? They're supposed to be extinct!" Bailey had shouted,

"There are some dragons that survived from what I have read," Thomas had started to look at his collection of books.

I never knew dragons even existed in this world. It should have been expected since we all have a special power.

"Wait, look! There's a person in the air!" Courtney shouted,

I turned where she pointed it out,

There I saw a woman in midair. Her hair had gone to her toes. Black hair color of midnight, a mask that had a kitsune feature like in our world did. Covered in white, cloak and all. I saw her wield a staff of some sort. It looked like she was going to obliterate the dragon.

However deep down, I felt that the dragon isn't in the wrong,

I ran out of the carriage, I thought to myself What type of powers do i wield now?

"Stop!" as I shouted that my hair grew, my eyes started to glow the color of scarlet. Now there was a new feature to my body, I sprouted raven wings, without a thought I jumped into the air, flying towards the battle.

"Stop what you are doing!" I shouted at the woman.

"What's this? A Raven lost its nest?" The woman responded,

"No, this dragon hasn't done anything to you! Why are you attacking it?" I hit back,

"I was prompted to kill the creature," she said in a cold tone.

"I think we can have a better solution than just killing, they're almost extinct. You shouldn't do this!" I tried to give her another option but that didn't go out the way I wanted.

I felt a scratch on my cheek, and I saw she pointed the staff at me and had casted a knife spell.

"You. Attacked me?" I said with shock.

"You are in my way. I need to dispose of you." Again, in a cold tone she said.

After she said that, I felt a thundering earthquake below. I then remembered that everyone was below us.

I cast a protection shell around them.

I looked back at the woman, and I started to get angry. Angrier than I could get. My eyes started to have the burning sensation.

I took out my hand and I reflected the same spell to her. This time, the wind took her cloak off her and revealed her face. Black hair that was as dark as the night and brown eyes.

I looked at her in awe. As I stared at her, she looked coldly at me. I said aloud.

"Mother?" I quickly closed my mouth with my palm, seconds later though,

She Laughed hysterically. "Me? Your mother? Don't make me laugh" Her laugh turned into anger.

I was disgusted by the fact this is what she turned into.

Long ago back in my own world, she was a kind and caring mother. She took a lot of beating to keep me and Timothy alive. She always fed us to the best of her abilities. She took on two jobs, and even made sure we had a happy life.

After her disappearance, it was nonstop drunk father. Until he died.

"Destiny Qin"

"What" She whispered, this time she had a shocked face,

"There's no way you're her. She lives-"

"She lives on Earth, but not this earth. She has a brother Timothy," I continued her sentence.

She drew closer to me and put her hand on my face, I scowled at the fact she touched me. I smacked her hand away.

"I-I'm sorry," she said with tears.

"That's not going to cut it," I said to her. My eyes kept burning red.

"W-What?" She said in confusion.

"Those people you were going to hit, Timothy is in there." I revealed to her,

She was even more shocked and looked below in disbelief.

"Oh god- No" she said and in an instant, she flew down there.

I followed her. As we landed, my wings disappeared.

"You okay Timothy!?" she said to all the strangers in the carriage,

Timothy looked at her with the reincarnation book in his arms,

"I'm Timothy but who are you?" Timothy asked with a scared look.

She looked over at the Blonde and blue-eyed boy,

"Your mother-"

"You?" he interrupted her with a disgusted face,

He then continued," You almost killed us, the mother I know is kind. Not a murderer," what he stated was true. What we thought we were going to find was our kind and loving mother. However, here we are finding that our mother is a dragon slayer.

"T-Timothy-" Mother got interrupted,

"No. I'm not Timothy, I'm Thomas. Get that right,"

She looked bewildered by the fact the little boy she knew isn't the same.

"W-What?" She looks at me while I look at her, I say,

"Have you ever thought about what happened to us?"

She tried to say something, "Well-."

"No, you didn't, it seemed like you were more into killing a dragon. Which they are almost extinct,"

As I say that, Bailey and Courtney get up,

"I'm Bailey and this is my sister Courtney. I'm marrying your daughter,"

I somewhat blushed at the thought he just bluntly said that with everyone here including my mother!

"I never agreed-" Bailey interrupted my mother,

"You never had to, you- you aren't her biological mother anymore. Angelica's mother…She is Queen Aria Winter. Queen of Witches,"

The silence was very loud. I never knew my actual biological mother, from what I heard, she died by giving birth.

I read in a book in the library, the name Aria Winter. My mother, she was the one I saw in the portrait.

Blonde hair and eyes like emeralds. Her a witch? Now I think about it, if she was trafficked to my father, wouldn't she have been able to escape if she was a witch?

"Impossible! My daughter is the daughter of a witch. I don't believe that!" She spouted out,

"Well, it's the truth and it seems you can't handle the truth." Bailey said with a straight face.

I never knew Bailey could be like this. Maybe it could be a good idea to keep a straight face when arguments come up in the near future.

"If you have nothing else to say, please leave." Courtney had added, "What we were searching for was a mother, not a monster," she glared at my mother.

"I-...." She couldn't muster anything up and left.

I sighed in place and looked at the state of the carriage.

"I'm sorry everyone," I spoke,

"Don't be, you never expected this." Thomas said,

As the silence was breaking, I heard a loud stomp behind me. I turn around and see the dragon.

Their scales are blue as the ocean, the sweet purple eyes that have no look of a monster.

"Are you alright?" I say to it,

In an instant, there was smoke covering the whole area. After it cleared, I saw a boy.

Blue hair, and purple eyes. He had a tiny body structure. Looked around Thomas's age.

"Thank you." He bowed to me,

In confusion, I panicked and was trying to not let him bow to me since he is an almost extinct species.

"Please don't do that for me! I'm just happy to have helped you. Why was she aiming for you?" I asked him.

"I am the last bloodline of the royal dragons. I do not have a name that any human can pronounce. I, however, owe you a big great deal. Please-" As he says that he goes down on one knee and holds my hand.

At this point I'm severely confused about what he is going to say next.

"Please let me serve you and please help me continue my bloodline" As he says that last line.

I start to stare and think again on what he said.

Wait, continue his bloodline? Serve me? HOLD ON C O N T I N U E his bloodline????

"S-Sir…. I hope you know she's engaged…" Bailey said with a very angry face,

"Yes, I know. However, it is very crucial to continue my bloodline, I only need to have a drop of blood." The dragon had said,

"Brother it is normal for a queen to have another to continue her blood. Just like men to have mistresses, women can have suitors. "Courtney ISN'T making this easier!

Me still standing there blankly,

"Um…Look, can we decide this when I turn of age, and when you look your age?" I spouted out.

"Hm, of course," The dragon responded and got up.

Now I think about it, I can't just keep calling him dragon,

"Is it alright if I gave you a name that we humans can call you?"

"That is fine but-" I cut him off since, he is like keeping a pet and I always wanted a pet!

"Blaze!" I pointed.

"h-Huh?" he was spooked at the name. Then the second later he laughed. "Yes, thank you for that name," it was great to see an expression on his face. It was quite awkward to see him say everything with a blank face.

"Alright-" but afterwards I was going to continue talking. Everything was going blank, and my vision went black.

While I was out, I had a dream. I suddenly remembered something. There was a novel I read, and it was called, Raven's Crown. It's a coincidence that my power is the story's title. The contents I remember is that one, Thomas was never an existing character, neither was mother.

Angelica was supposed to wield the power of this curse. However, she was constantly abused by all maids and servants. She also didn't show any traits of being a Raven despite having scarlet eyes but instead of black hair it was blonde. Soon, the person who did get the Raven's Crown power, was not Angelica. It was the main Protagonist, Lily Raven. A character who will appear later in the book. She was also the first daughter besides Angelica. Whom everyone presumed dead. Backstory is A maid who devoured the emperor on a one-night stand with drugs. She also bore a daughter. She kept hidden. Lily had Black short hair to the shoulders, and she had brown eyes of which was only casted when her mother put a spell on her to hide her. Lily then showed abilities of being a raven. Which then drove the emperor to kill angelica.

It was not that the original Angelica would've died if she wielded the power, it was that she was not the owner of the body. So, the Raven's Crown did not recognize her as the host.

None of the events that happened with me shouldn't have happened.

I was just a pawn in case I did exhibit powers. Lily was the main character and Bailey was supposed to fall in love with her.

I suddenly wake up and my vision shows Blaze and everyone else staring at me.

However, Blaze looked different. Too different.

His hair grew and he looked more of a man than a boy.

"Blaze? You look older…" I trail off.

"Yes, it is all because you gave me a name" He smiles,

"Oh-it's because I gave you a name, that's nice-" I stopped and stared.

"BECAUSE I GAVE YOU A NAME?!" I shouted in confusion. I also realized I am in a bed and not in a carriage,

"Where are we?" I asked everyone,

"You're in a nearby town that we went to, you've been out for a couple days." Thomas had said,

"I see…" I continue" Please Blaze, could you leave us for a bit? I need to talk to everyone about something." I said to him.

"Of course," He got up and left the room.

"What's up?" Bailey said while he got closer to me.

"I'm not the main character in this…" I said slowly,

Everyone was confused and I explained, "This is a novel…"

"So…what I thought was true…" Thomas had said.

"I have an older sister…" I said while looking at Bailey,

"She was supposed to be your lover." I said while tears in my eyes.

He stared in awe, and I stated, "I'm supposed to die in a few more years,"

"What do you mean!?" Courtney had said standing up,

"I wasn't supposed to wield the Raven's Crown," I said to her.

"T-That doesn't make any sense," she said while sitting back down.

"What she said is true." Thomas had spoken up.

He then continued, "I knew this all seemed familiar, she would read this book to me all the time. She read the last chapter to me before my birthday," Everyone looked at Thomas and me,

"Lily is her name" I stated,

"She's supposed to rule the kingdom and my father…was supposed to kill me."
