Play or die

"Wendy's right, this game looks as creepy as my dad's room , trust me you don't want to be there", Mia said .

Roy placed his palms on Mia's cheeks ."Not you too Mia! Im sure its just a game that was made for a halloween , nothing more , trust me "

"And how come you're so sure when you havent even played yet ",Ryan argued .

"Except.......

"You already played it didn't you?", Mia questioned .

All eyes fell on him.

"Alright , alright ,yes I did play the game once , or maybe a few times , but that not the point"

"The point is that its just a game , an interesting one at that , trust me you'll love it guys",Roy completed .

"Play or die ?", Ryan said pointing his finger to some words beside the game board .

"Roy ,I think the girls are right , playing this game is a really bad idea , more importantly we have no idea who it belongs to", Ryan adviced .

"So you've joined the girl crew now , its just a game , I've played it a dozen times , and here I am , fine and not dead "

"A dozen times! Why would you meddle in the supernatural ? I really feel it will bring us no good", Mia scrowled at Roy.

"Its also......

"Not cursed", Roy interrupted Wendy .

"Don't you trust me anymore guys , or isnt our friendship that strong , let me prove to you once that this game is harmless, you don't need to play it just watch me played", Roy assured with a warm smile.

"But....

"Go ahead , we trust you ", Mia interrupted Ryan.

Roy opened the game board .

On the board was a were two dices , two chess kings, a chess queen , six player puns, 15 cards and monsters like objects at each nook and cranny , it also had a paper receiver.

"Firstly you roll your dice , wherever it lands ,then you follow the path , with the number on the visible part of the dice with any pun of your choice"

"Okay...", the curious three chanted together.

"When you reach your destination , you press the nearest button , and it prints a paper , just like this", Roy demonstrated on the game .

"Then you read the paper and perform whatever task it assigns you , and thats it "

* Silence screams amongst them*

"So thats just it, the end ", Mia questioned .

"What do you mean by the end , its a repeated process , the more you play , the more you get more fascinating tasks to perform ."

"I have no idea why its killing me to ask what your actual obsession about this game is ?" , Ryan said with a frown .

"Obsession? And who says I'm obsessed with it ?"

"Well you look so , I know I was scared of it at first but facts remain facts , the game is a bit nice but not something to be obsessed about ",said Wendy.

"Firstly, 'a bit nice', is not a way to classify this amazingly terrific game, in fact its offensive to say so, and i still retain that I'm not obssessed over it."

"And yet you are ", Wendy insisted

"No im not "

"Yes you are ", Ryan shouted back.

"Enough guys! Thats okay , no more fighting , if he says he's not upset , then we should believe him , he's our friend right ",Mia cautioned.

"If you say so Mia , but don't say I didn't warn you Roy , I really can't believe you called us here just for this silly game .", Ryan said angrily .

"Then leave and please don't come back , I only thought I could show my friends my new discovery , not be scolded by a wimp like you ."

"Roy! This isn't right "

" I'm leaving , but trust me I won't come back .", Ryan replied in anger and stormed out of the room .

"I'll go talk to him ",Wendy said .

*Wendy rushes out of Roy's room to catch up to Ryan*

"I repeat , this isn't right Roy, you shouldn't have spoken to him in such a manner and you know that ", Mia explained to Roy.

"I don't care , he also behaved unruly to me you know , he deserved whatever he got "

"At what cost , our friendship?"

"Look Mia , Ryan's always gets angry , but he comes back to his senses in no time , I'm sure he will this time as well.",Roy assured.

*Mia's face turns gloomy *

"If you say so "

"Thats more like my Mia , so how're you preparing for the next instrument show ?",Roy asked.

"Well quite well , I've gotten a harp and all thats left is to master the strings perfectly, I'm getting good at harmonizing it with my voice though."

"Go girl! Thats amazing , meanwhile I'm still thinking of what instrument to pick ."

"Wait what! You know the deadline for practice is in a week , and you haven't even gotten an instrument?",Mia quarelled .

"Don't worry , I'll meet up as always , just need to play a few rounds of this game and I'll get to it ", Roy said facing the game back .

"Well I'm pretty sure you'll have the best instrument- voice duo next week always."

"Yeah yeah , I probably will ",Roy said with a grin.

"Anyways I'll get back to mine right now, I have learn enough to beat at least half your level", Mia said chuckling .

"If you need me , I'll be with the rest , please remember we have a training session by 6pm, and please dont be late , especially not because of this game", Mia warned.

" Alright , I'll be there.", Roy said without moving his eyes off the game .

*Mia leaves the room*

"Finally no one to disturb me and my game ",Roy let's out a playful laugh.
