Chapter 10

  Erika's POV

  He’s in the bathroom. I mind-linked Gerald and

  pointed to the bathroom.

  “OK.” He nodded and began to fidget. He seemed to

  be restless with a stranger’s presence.

  So, Gerald, do you want a cup of drink? I

  mind-linked with a smile on my face.

  “No, thanks,” he shook his head immediately.

  “OK. I’ll make a cup of drink for me,” I said as I

  walked around him to the counter behind him.

  As I walked behind him, I threw a punch at his

  neck.

  He noticed it immediately, turned around, and

  avoided the attack. He was swift. But he was not a match for me. Within five

  blows, I knocked him out and he lay on the ground motionless.

  Done!

   

  After getting out of the pack house, I kept running

  and didn’t slow down. I couldn’t risk being found out by him again. To be safe,

  I chose to run into the woods again.
