Chapter 75

"Starving?" Connor frowned as he looked at Annette. He asked, "How come? Didn't you have lunch?"

Annette smiled bitterly and said, "No. Something came up."

Connor asked as he drove, "What happened?"

"It's nothing. One of my students wasn't feeling well, so I took her to the hospital this morning. When we came back, her parents were here, so I didn't have time to eat."

  Connor sighed.

Annette glanced at him. "I'm the one who is starving. Why are you sighing?"

"It pains me to know you are starving. What's wrong with that?"

Annette looked at him. She felt warm inside, but she still pretended not to care and said, "That doesn't change the fact that I'm so hungry. So, just keep driving, alright?"

Connor shook his head with a smile and sped up.

He took her to his villa.

Annette's arrival immediately turned the chiefs of the Norman family into panic.

She felt quite guilty. After all, it was already late.
