Chapter 88

Connor stayed at Annette's house and didn't leave. The next morning, when the alarm clock rang, Annette reached out her hand and turned it off.

She got up and went to the living room. The sound of rustling water kept coming from the bathroom.

Then, the door of the bathroom opened.

Connor was wrapped in Annette's bath towel with a mickey mouse pattern on it.

As he dried his hair, he looked at her and asked, "You are up."

Annette shifted her gaze away from his six-pack abs.

As her gaze moved up, she saw a large bruise on Connor's shoulder.

She frowned and said, "Your shoulder is bruised. I wonder which part of your sentence is true and which part is false?"

Connor was calm. "Everything I said to you is true. I am indeed injured, but it is not so serious."

He pointed to the kitchen and asked, "What's for breakfast?"

  Annette snorted. "Nothing!"

She turned around and entered the kitchen with a sullen face.
