Chapter 62

I grabbed the weapon and closed my eyes as I fell into the rabbit monster's mouth. I curled myself into a ball as I fell into the monster's mouth. As I fell, I could feel the monster's hot breath and saliva around me. It was revolting. As the monster's throat tightened, my bones were crushed and aching from the pressure. The saliva from the monster's throat were melting my clothes and burning my skin. I tried opening my mouth to take a breathe but I felt something terribly wrong with the air. "Ack! Poison?" I coughed. As I coughed, the monster's throat tightened, and I felt my rib cage were broken. In my mind, I was struggling to not lose my consciousness. 'Come on. Think. Think! Find a solution to this blasted problem.' My heart palpitate like crazy, making me dizzy and losing focus. I gripped my weapon with my bleeding hand and thrusted deep into the monster's throat.

Next second, the rabbit monster loosened its throat and screamed from the top of its lung. "GYAAAHHH!" The monster screamed so loud that I completely woken me up. "Oof! That's one loud scream! But thanks to that, I feel revived." I pulled the weapon out of the monster's throat and continued to fall. Falling, falling, falling... until I landed inside the monster's stomach.

Splash!

I landed on something solid like a board. I laughed and said. "L-Lesson learnt... Successful: Keep your mouth close... W-when you fall... to... to the ground. Hah... Ha..." I stuttered as the pain in my bones was intolerable. I placed my hand on my chest. "Argh! Yup! My rib cage is definitely broken." I blinked a few times as I wasn't sure if where was I. "Ugh... Where am I? The stomach?" I sat up, slouching, and looked around. "It's so dark, I can't see a thing." I touched my feet and felt something wet on my clothes. I smelled it and coughed. "Oh! Yuck! Koff! Koff! That's nasty! Ugh... The pain..." I curled up, laid on my back, and sighed. "Let's rest up for a while."

As my eyes adjusted to the darkness, the first thing I did was looked down to make sure I was sitting on something safe and not a monster's head. "Phew, just a solid flat board." When I found out I was on a safe ground, I looked up, and I could roughly make out some indigestible objects floating in the monster's throat. "Peyuuh! No wonder it stinks here." I pinched my nose. The air was thick with the stench of decay and rot. I looked at the objects floating around, slowly melting away. Chills went down my spine. "This place is giving me bad tingling vibes. I better find a way out of here and fast. I wouldn't want the monster's digestive acids to dissolve me." I stretched my body and let out a big sigh. "Wow! My bones are almost all healed. Virtual reality sure is nice." I clenched and released my fist. "Now, let's see. How do I escape from this place?" Unknowingly, I said. "Through the anus? Hahahaha." I paused for a moment in shock. "OMG, I can't believe the first solution I thought was anus. Ewww... I had never thought of anus so many times before this. Is it because I got pooped on and ate poop, that why I have been thinking about poop nonstop? Ouih... That ain't good."

I shook my head. "Let's leave that for last. There's definitely another exit." I searched frantically for any possible way out, but the walls of the stomach seemed too thick to penetrate. I tried punching it with full strength, but there was no effect.

"Luckily, Ronald gave me a weapon." I raised the weapon Ronald gave me. I blanked out when I saw the weapon. "A mini shovel? To do what? Build a sand castle?! Of all things he carried, he threw a mini shovel? Can't he at least throw a weapon?! And why was there a mini shovel in the weapon stand." I jumped around fuming. I collapsed to the ground. "Ugh... My lucky is screwing with me again, ain't it?" I looked at the mini shovel. "At least, I was saved from the monster's throat, thanks to it." I hugged the mini shovel and apologized. "I'm sorry for cursing at you. I didn't mean it. Ronald, too. Thanks for saving my life." I rubbed my face against the mini shovel. Then, I laid back down and sighed. "What to do? I doubt this shovel can do anything to the monster's stomach, too." After a few seconds of silence, I jumped up and started stabbing the monster's stomach with the mini shovel. "Witness the all mighty power of the mini shovel!" But there was no effect as well. In anger, I threw the mini shovel at the monster's stomach. The mini shovel bounced off the monster's stomach and dropped into the digestive juice. I stared at the mini shovel with a blank face and a slightly opened mouth as the mini shovel melted away by the digestive juice. I dropped to the board on all four and cried. "Why? Why?! My mini shovel! My saviour!"

After clearing my head, I brought myself back to reality only to be hit by more disappointment. I tightened my jaw and shouted. "I hate reality. It's so unfair!" I laid on my face to the ground and cried. My fear mounted with each second passed, and my hope drained away like dripped coffee.

[Rona and Ronald's side]

Rona and Ronald were surrounded by the angry monsters when Rona screamed. "Lil is dead! Nuuuuu~"

Ronald tried to calm Rona down and said. "Let's pray. Maybe if we pray together, Llyne might live, although the chances are slime!"

Mimi, who was enjoying the scene, pointed at the rabbit monster's stomach and laughed. "Wow! What a trill! Looks like your little friend there is as good as gone. Poof!"

Ronald refuted and screamed back. "No way! It's Llyne. She'll be safe. There's no way she'll let some ugly rabbit defeat her." Rona stucked her tongue out at the rabbit monster and said. "UGLY!"

Mimi shrugged. "There's literally zero per cent of survival. Those who entered Mr. Rabbit's tummy will be melted away from its poison. Drip by drip. What a shame!"

Rona clenched his fists. "Poison? But... Then... Poison takes time. She can just cut through and live. I believe in her."

Mimi crackled. "Only tough luck can. How is your friend going to cut through with a play toy shovel? HAHAAHAHA." Mimi played back the video to the moment Ronald threw the mini shovel till I fell into rabbit monster's mouth.

Ronald's eyes were wide open, staring off into space. He couldn't believe what he had just seen. Rona smacked Ronald's head. Ronald jumped, shook his head, and started panicking. "What happened? Just now. Oh, no! Llyne!" Ronald placed all the weapons he was carrying onto the ground. He searched and found the mini shovel was missing. Ronald fell onto his knees and wailed. "I killed Llyne! It's all my fault! I wanted to give a long sword, but I panicked and threw the wrong one!"

Mimi chuckled and said. "Well, it's too late now! Seek, my cute little fur balls."

The monsters slowly moved closer to Rona and Ronald.

[Llyne's side]

I silently laid on the ground, hoping for someone to cheer me up. A few minutes later, I sat up and screamed. "Bah! No one is cheering me up!" I looked around and scratched my ear. "Oh, right! There's no one but me here. Silly me." I lightly knocked my head. I stood up and did some light stretching. Then, I placed one foot forward and raised my index finger into the air. "Looks like I have no choice but to use the last and only solution. Mission: Pooperoni!" Then I went to look for anything that can be used as a paddle. Suddenly, the entire place started shaking. "Eh? What's happening?" I looked around in confusion as I turned around and saw a massive wall of water rose up and was crashing towards me. I quickly hopped from one object to another, trying my best to distance myself from the huge waves and balancing myself on top of the objects at the same time. As the water crashed down behind me with a deafening roar, the force pushed me forward, and I screamed as I crashed towards the monster's stomach wall. "Ack!" As I was slowly slipping down into the endless depth of digestive fluid, I struggled to grip onto the monster's stomach wall.

As I dug my fingers into the stomach wall, I felt a strong burning sensation on my fingers. "You got to be kidding me. There's poison inside the walls, too? This is one poisonous rabbit." The burning pain was intolerable. My fingers were trembling from the pain. I was screaming in agony as my fingers loses its grip. My fingers finally gave up, and I fell towards the toxic digestive juice.

Baam!

My body slammed into something solid. "Argh! My left arm!" I immediately sat up and checked its condition. "Ugh... It hurts a bit, but there doesn't seem to be any broken bones." I looked up at where I fell from and said. "Gosh, I managed to survive that fall without any broken bones? Luck sure works in a weird way." I looked down and saw some scratches on the thing I landed. I looked around it and smiled. "Oh, it an old treasure chest! I wonder if there's any old treasure inside." I hoped onto another object nearby and opened the chest. Dust flew out, and I saw nothing inside the chest except more dust and cobwebs. I was disappointed and sulked. "What a way to crush a person's hope." I checked the chest's inside and outside condition, and my eyes sparkled. "Wow! Aside from the scratches that were probably made by the rabbit monster's teeth, the chest is actually pretty solid. I thought it would be pretty bashed up seeing how old it looked. Moreover, I don't see any fluid inside." I got into the chest and said. "Oooh~ I never sat inside a treasure chest before. This is a whole new experience for me. Oooh~ I feel like a little kid again. So exciting~ " I huffed and puffed while enjoying my time inside the treasure box.
