4 First space crack

Junfang was really pleased when they did make way for him and pushed him to the front of the counter but he was a bit shorter than the counter and stood on his tiptoes to pass his ID card to the lady behind the counter

When the five guys saw that, they all bursted into laughter "He's so short, can't even reach the counter, what monster could he kill! Haha"

The lady behind the counter and Junfang didn't bother with them but the others around them laughed and some frowned

The lady passed the ID card and a copper token to Junfang then pointed towards a direction across the room and said "That room is to test what ability you have so as to be record it down with your personal info, no one would know except the Mercenary system server, go on now, Mr Chu"

When those around them heard what she said, that area calmed down even those boys who were laughing before were no where to be found

Junfang then left after having his ability tested and thought to what the computer said after he dropped his blood on the machine 'Unknown ability detected but it's obviously a dimensional ability I have, why did it say unknown..well, I guess I'll found that out later, I should get to Anshan Subway Station before it's eleven o'clock or else my ticket would be invalid if I reach there afterwards'

At eleven am sharp, the train set off from the station and Junfang who was taking the train for the first time found that there wasn't much to see when taking the subway train cause it moves underground and it's mostly dark in some cases

There are also dangers when going by subway cause abduction and terrorism are most common when going by train, you don't know if you would come out alive and there are some lucky cases whereby the train ride is smooth all through just like now

When Junfang got there safe and sound he was so happy and spining that he bumped into someone

"Hey, watch-" A female voice which sounded out was cut short as the two of them fell

Junfang abruptly froze up when his head fell on something soft

Then another female slapped him and he flew by a few meters, as his head was about to land on a rock, he was terrified and instantly used his power to throw the rock into void making him land on the ground, his arm hurt when he tried to stand up

When he looked over, he saw two girls coming towards him

One of them had sky blue hair with dark silver eyes in her late teens heaving her chest up and down, seems like she's the one who slapped him

The other girl whom he fell on who seemed around the first girl age had a bigger chest than her and her fiery red hair and sharp black eyes does no justice to her kind and docile nature as she held back her friend or maybe her sister "Hey, Huqia, calm down already, he's a little kid, it was definitely not intentional, also he didn't fall on you, if I say let him go then do so and just chill already, you can't go around beating everyone"

Huqia calmed down a bit but still glared at him

The redhead came to him and stretched out her hand "Come on, let me help you up, I can see that you hurt your arm badly, is it bleeding? Do you need help?"

Junfang realized something and looked at the arm that hurt, after noticing no blood, he heaved a sigh and stood up with her aid "Thanks for helping me up, am sorry for falling on you, it was an accident, I didn't notice you g-"

Before he finished his sentence, Huqia snapped back "Huqi, hear what he said, he didn't notice us, impossible, can't even lie properly, how can he be so lascivious at such a young age, Bastard, didn't your parents teach you any manners!!"

Junfang replied lightly "My family has been dead for five years now"

Huqia stared at him astonished with her mouth opened as she couldn't utter a word

Huqi covered her mouth in shock and muttered "Oh no, you poor thing"

Huqia held her hands behind her back and circled her foot on the ground and stammered "O..oh s..sorry I didn't know, w..well, w..what are you doing here anyways, sh..shouldn't you be in at school by this time?"

Huqi nodded and asked "Yea, you should be in school, this is no place for kids, the defenders might not even let you in the base talk less of ogling at the space crack"

Junfang answered as he brought out his copper token and his one-star badge meant for F-rank Ceruleans which the Mercenary server system gave him "Am fifteen and I can't afford school, am here to.. errh.train, I guess am an F-rank Cerulean and a Copper-rank mercenary so they should let me in, right?"

Huqia quickly grabbed the copper token to make sure it was legit and passed it to her sister then she nodded and gave it back to him

Junfang kept the two things back in his backpack and walked towards the wide open gate with the others without glancing back at the twins

Huqia who was just about to invite him to join the group was furious when he just bypassed her like she didn't exist, when she was just about to lash out at him before he disappeared from her sight but Heqia held her back and shaked her head then whispered something in her ears

Junfang who was already over ten meters away from them heard them whispering and focused a bit more to hear "...wouldn't want a little kid on their group, we don't know his origins and cannot just invite him cause of pity also without any proper discussions with the others, it would be wrong on our side"

Junfang scoffed and thought 'As expected, it's the docile one that's the smartest, the fiery one is just dumb and easily provoked'

Their Choi family had a special hearing ability from birth which can only be used when they focus on using it, their range depended on their bloodline, before he awoke his bloodline, his range was only ten meters and he couldn't use it more than once a day or his ears would bleed but now that he has awoken, the range increased to a whole hundred meters but as he is still in F-rank and his body constitution is still weak as a result of poor food, he can only focus on a few conversations within fifty meters even though he could only use once a day, it was still pretty cool

Junfang walked around the base and went to meet a guy who seemed to be a defender soldier "Excuse me, how do I enter the space crack?"

"You find a mercenary group to join or form your own group but you can not go in without four other people, only groups of a five can enter, when you get in, you may separate and go your own way if you prefer" The defender replied sharply without looking at him

Junfang was puzzled that the soldier didn't ask why a kid was here and where was his parents so he asked "Aren't you confused why a kid is here?"

"The gate records the bone age of those who enter and anyone who is below fifteen will be kicked unless that person has permission and rights to enter" The defender replied after glancing at him for a bit

Junfang nodded with an "Oh" then went to look for a group to join when he passed by a high rise tent and saw those two girls from before come out with two other guys, one short and burly, the other tall and fit with a little resemblance to the two girls, he focused on their conversation and found out the short one was called Long Lin while the other guy was Mang Huwei the twins' older brother

They hadn't seen him yet as their backs were facing him buh he decided to listen properly to their conversation before approaching them

As he listened on, he found out that their fifth member couldn't come cause of some reason and they had to go in quick cause of some secret treasure time limit or something and they needed a fifth member, when he heard that, he grinned and thought 'Lucky me, already found a group'

Then he went up to them and tapped Huqi saying "Ahh, is this not you.. err, your name's Huqi, right?"

Huqi was a bit surprised to see the boy just when they needed another member for their group, she smiled and said "Ahh, what are you here for exactly?"

Junfang said with a pity face "I told you that am here to train buh I found that one can't enter unless in group of at least five members in it or form their group buh I have no group and am searching for a group to join, could you guys help me please"

Huqia was the first to reply "Of course we will and luckily we just need a fifth member in our group!"

Huwei and Lin glanced at each other which caught Junfang's eye then he said "Don't worry I'll separate from you guys as soon as we get in"

Huqia almost screamed when she said "Ahh, but you're so little, what if something happened?"

Junfang glanced at her and said as politely as he could "Everyone has their own secrets and please don't pry into other's issues unless you have the right to, I have one question though, do I need to be in a group of five to come out?"

Huqia was a little down when he said that and shifted closer to her brother

Juwei rolled his eyes at her and replied "No, it's not a must, only to enter is to be in five and not all space cracks emphasize on five"

Junfang nodded and said "Okay, are we setting off naw or are there other things?"

Lin spoke up this time "Do you have a weapon, it is needed for killing beasts"

Junfang just smiled as he thought about the weapon tattoos on his arm but didn't mention it and asked "Can we go now?"

Lin glanced at the others to confirm if they were all set and said "Let's move out"

They got to the crack, held hands and jumped in

Once they jumped into the crack, their head started spinning and they all felt dizzy but still held onto each other cause if one of them let go, they would all perish in the turbulence

There had been stories about those who went into the space crack, one of them let go by accident and they all died cause the space turbulence was too much for just four bodies

After a while, the five of them finally landed on solid ground but first tried adjusting to the bright suns in the sky, afterwards they let go of each other when they opened their eyes

Junfang was shocked by the spectacular view his eyes met with as he looked up, two bright suns in the sky and zero clouds, he wondered if there are no clouds how does rain fall since this place was not a desert cause when he looked at his surroundings, everything were of different colours all around

The grass, insects, animals and trees, those of same colour were a bit far from either

He looked at the four who were standing beside him, the two girls were still wobbly so the guys had to support them although they felt a bit weak

As for Junfang, except for the slight headache cause it was his first time, there was nothing wrong with him so he shrugged and went off without saying anything to the others, they didn't notice when he left though

After a few minutes when the girls were finally stable, Huqia immediately looked around as though searching for something

Huqi said "Stop looking, he would have left as soon as we came in"

Huqia was a bit down when she heard that and mumbled something

Huwei noticed her behavior and suspected she had feelings for the little boy but was confused as he wondered there was literally nothing special about the boy in his eyes but decided not to talk about it

As for Huqi, she had a weird glint in her eyes as she looked towards a certain direction in the forest

Junfang felt a strong gaze directed towards him from his left, when he focused his hearing on that side, he heard a strong breathing but when he focused and tried to lock direction, the gaze disappeared

He was stupefied as he walked towards the opposite direction of the gaze so he wouldn't be stumped by it on the way

He opened his backpack and the rock he threw into the void when Huqia slapped him was pulled out by him but as he held the heavy rock which was just a quarter meter in length and width looked different from the normal irregularity of rocks and the colour was weird too, if from afar it looked like a normal rock but up close, he could clearly see that it was slightly breathing

He was shocked and instantly dropped it onto the ground

A yelp sounded from the rock as it shone a bright blue light which made him close his eyes and when he opened it, the scene before him almost made him fall down

A little girl that looked around two years old was curling up in pain and shivered a bit that's when he noticed the little one was naked

He placed his hand in his backpack and brought out one of his hoodies that he brought along, he took out the smallest one among them which he got as a bonus for buying ten hoodies at once in a store at the mall

He then bent down and reached his hands towards her, the little girl raised her head and looked at him curiously

Even he was curious about her but they were still in a forest with the unknown all around them so he decided to just bring her along first

He said "Little girl, come to me, you should wear some clothes before we start going"

The girl stood up slowly and walked closer to him "P..pa..pa? Papa?"

Junfang smiled wryly when the girl called him Papa, he had already became a father before he even got rid of his virginity status, he almost felt like crying

But that was not important at the moment as he had to wear something for her as she was shivering hard

He said gently "Yes, it's Papa now put on some clothes so the cold goes away"

As he helped the girl put on the hoodie, he was wondering how the girl could be shivering when the sun was out but he couldn't dwell on it till he found out an abode and carefully question her

The hoodie was larger than her though as she was still a little girl so he cut the hoodie into two from the to where her legs were

As he had a backpack, he decided to carry her in front instead

While still bending down, he tied the sleeves of the hoodie around his neck then carried her and tied the lower part of the hoodie which he had cut into two around his waist but still held her with his hands as the hoodie was still bigger than her and she could fall out of he moved

Before the sun had set, he finally found a huge tree that its bark seemed to be made of iron and it was fifty meters high

If he wasn't so observant, he wouldn't have noticed the hidden cave in the bark amongst the leaves and branches

He held the little girl tightly as he quickly climbed up the tree then as he closed in on the cave, his eyes caught a bright purple fruit shaped like an a weird eye, at first it freaked him out

As he was about to just ignore it, he had a feeling that he had to take the fruit in his possession now

Junfang knew that it was his instinct and he just went along with it

And Junfang laid down in the spacious tree cave as he was very tired from running since morning

The little girl who had been sleeping then woke up and he decided to ask her about her origins though he was skeptical about the fact that she was just two years and might not be able to speak, he will at least get something

He separated from himself and placed her on his lap as he sat up

Before he could, the little girl started talking in a very sweet bell-like voice "Papa, I have already downloaded your language into my brain so if Papa wants to ask any questions, I will answer with what I know"

Junfang fainted instantly and the little girl was confused as to why he fainted but just calmly waited till he woke up
