According to Islamic beliefs, Jannah/Paradise is a place of leisure and enjoyment where its inhabitants will not have to work or labor for their sustenance. The concept of work in Paradise is different from the earthly understanding of work, which is often associated with fatigue, stress, and toil. In Jannah/Paradise, work will be a pleasurable activity that people will engage in out of their own volition and interest.
It is believed that the inhabitants of Jannah/Paradise will have all their needs and desires fulfilled without any effort on their part. There will be no need to struggle or toil for survival, as everything will be provided for them in abundance. Allah SWT says in the Quran:
"And We shall remove from their hearts any lurking sense of injury: beneath them will be rivers flowing, and they shall say: "Praise be to Allah, who hath guided us to this (felicity): never could we have found guidance, had it not been for the guidance of Allah: indeed it was the truth, that the apostles of our Lord brought unto us." And they shall hear the cry: "Behold! The garden before you! Ye have been made its inheritors, for your deeds (of righteousness)." (Quran 7:43)
Thus, the absence of work in Jannah/Paradise does not imply idleness or boredom. Instead, it is a state of pure leisure, where people will engage in activities of their own choosing, without any restrictions or limitations. They will be able to pursue their interests and hobbies, explore the beauty of Paradise, and spend time in the company of their loved ones and fellow believers.
In addition, the absence of work or labor also implies the absence of any negative consequences associated with work in this world, such as stress, fatigue, and physical exhaustion. The inhabitants of Jannah/Paradise will have perfect health and vitality, and will not experience any physical or mental discomfort. They will be free from any form of pain, hardship, or suffering, and will enjoy a state of perpetual bliss and contentment.
