Adela's Point of View

"Now spill," I remarked to Primo in a frosty tone as we distanced ourselves from the crowd.

As I gazed at his face, I anticipated his response to be sorrowful or somewhat irate or vexed, but I furrowed my brow when I witnessed his grinning countenance.

He is so weird! I arched an eyebrow at his reaction.

"You won't win me over with that smile, Primo. Just clarify why Sofie is so affected like that," I stated, settling onto a substantial tree root.

The spot was clean, so I didn't hesitate to sit. We wound up here after I pulled him away from the people there.

"I truly appreciate it when you're like this. I can genuinely sense that you love me now," he mentioned, earning a stern look from me.

"Excuse me? Do you want me to consistently be irritated by your girls?" I questioned, irritated, causing him to chuckle. Right now, authentic annoyance is what I'm feeling towards him.
