It Doesn't Concern You

Lucy did not know why but the truth just blurted out of her mouth. "N–No," she answered. What was the worse that could happen.

Greg chuckled with a nod. "What about now? What do you feel?"

Lucy looked into his eyes which had regained its humor then she lowered her head. She wondered what plan he would have come up with if she had asked for his help. Was she too scared to face her fears?

"I don't know," she answered again. The damage was already done. She couldn't imagine the scolding she would receive after this. Just this distance with him could escalate rumors. And the fact that the reporters were present wasn't helping matters.

"The stage is ours."

His words made her frown then she realized that the music had stopped. People dispersed from the stage, and all eyes were on them.

"Look at me," he called out in a whisper and her frown deepened.
