"I said silence." His father sighed and opened his eyes. "If you can't keep a clear head, excuse us."

"But you have to do something."

"Leave," his father muttered lazily.

The middle-aged woman glared at him and stomped away while grumbling and muttering words under her breath.

"You have failed me, son." The man closed his eyes again and heaved a deep breath.

Cedric lowered his head and sat on another couch, facing his father. "I know... Now, everything is ruined," he said in regret. "If only I had known—"

"Nothing is ruined," his father interrupted him. "Don't give up too early." He gave him a small smile and sighed.

"I know you can make everything right." The man added. "You always find a way."
