First Day at School

After being adopted into the Doorman family, Uzi arrived at school with her newly adopted non-binary sibling, Y/N. As they made their way through the halls, Uzi couldn't help but feel a bit self-conscious about her striking new appearance. Her once purple hair and eyes were now dyed a vibrant shade of green, making her stand out even more than usual.

As they entered their classroom, Mr. Riley's eyes immediately fell upon Uzi's transformed appearance. The shock and confusion was evident on his face as he furrowed his eyebrows and tried to process what he was seeing.

"Uzi, why do you look so different? And who is that with you?" Mr. Riley inquired, his voice laced with curiosity.

Uzi hesitated, unsure of how to explain her sudden transformation. She had always been a bit of a rebel, but this was a big change even for her.

"Uh...I just wanted to switch things up a bit. And this is Y/N, they're my..." She trailed off, feeling a bit embarrassed that she couldn't quite find the right words to describe their relationship.

"My sibling..." Uzi finally declared, relieved that she didn't have to go into the details of Y/N's nuclear-powered origins.

Mr. Riley looked skeptical, raising an eyebrow in suspicion. "That's strange, Doorman never mentioned a second child." He remarked, casting a doubtful glance at the pair.

Uzi knew that her new appearance and unconventional family situation would be met with some resistance, but she had hoped that her teachers would be more understanding. As she took her seat, she braced herself for what was sure to be a challenging day.

She knew that she had just made a scene, but she couldn't help her frustration with the way that people were treating her and Y/N. She wanted to make it clear that their family was just like any other, even if it was a bit unconventional.

"They were recently adopted." Uzi explained, hoping to put the matter to rest and diffuse the tension in the room.

Mr. Riley seemed unconvinced, but decided not to press the issue. "Okay, just take a seat wherever you like, Y/N." He said, gesturing towards the empty desks.

As Uzi settled into her usual spot, she couldn't help but notice the curious stares of her classmates. Frustrated with the attention, Uzi shouted out, "What?! Why are you all staring at us?! Yeah, I have a sibling now, what's the big deal?!"

Meanwhile, Y/N's systems began to receive an update, leaving them feeling strange and different. Something had changed, but Y/N couldn't quite put their finger on it.

It was like a sense of family bonds had emerged, a deep and powerful connection that was unlike anything they had ever experienced before.

The feeling was both recognizable and strange to Y/N, who had always felt a sense of loyalty to Uzi since she had activated them. But this was different, a unique and profound bond that Y/N had never experienced before.

They looked at Uzi with newfound appreciation, grateful for the love and acceptance that she had brought into their life. Y/N began to look at Uzi with a new perspective. As a fairly naive AI, they took Uzi's words to heart. From now on, they would refer to Uzi as their sister.

As the day went on, Y/N found themselves quickly catching up on most subjects, impressing even some of the teachers with their natural aptitude for math, physics, chemistry, engineering, and PE. Uzi was impressed, but also a bit envious of how quickly Y/N seemed to be adjusting to their new life.

Meanwhile, Uzi's guilt for what she did to N just wouldn't stop eating at her. She felt sick to her stomach, unable to shake the memory of how she had treated N. Despite her remorse, she couldn't bring herself to apologize, still unsure of how to make things right.

In PE, Uzi was lost in her thoughts, barely registering the dodgeball hurtling towards her. But before it could make contact, Y/N stepped in, stopping the ball mid-air and returning it with a force that surprised everyone in the class. Y/N also discovered a newfound competitive spirit in dodgeball.

Finally, Uzi was in the midst of reaching for her books, her slender fingers grazing the spines of her favorite novels, when she was suddenly knocked off her stack by a worker drone named Rebecca. The clattering of books echoed through the hallway as Uzi stumbled, struggling to maintain her balance.

"Yeah, meeting Brad in an hour." Rebecca said nonchalantly to the worker drone she was walking with, completely conscious of the chaos she had just caused.

Uzi's eyes blazed with fury as she quickly picked herself up, snatching one of her books and hurling it at Rebecca with all her might.

"Can you imagine going to prom alone?" She asked, her voice dripping with venom, not being subtle at all about Uzi's misfortune to not having a prom date.

However, Uzi's throw accidentally struck the unsuspecting Braiden instead. "Haha, I'd be all like, 'I don't deserve happiness'." Trevor, another worker drone, chuckled to Rebecca.

Noticing that Rebecca had knocked Uzi's books, Y/N returned the favor by grabbing a bag of marbles from someone else's locker. They inconspicuously rolled a few marbles onto the floor, causing Rebecca to slip and fall with a thud.

Uzi smirked at Rebecca's misery before picking up her book and turning to leave with Y/N.

As they walked down the hallway, the two siblings stopped in their tracks when some missing drones posters caught their attention. They looked over to see a janitor cleaning up an oil spill. They then looked up at a security camera, glitching for a brief moment.

Cackling with mischievous delight, Uzi quickly snatched the missing drone posters and rushed back home, eager to put them up on the ceiling of her bedroom.

As she reached up to affix them with tape, however, she was met with a shock: the papers that had been on the ceiling before were now gone, nowhere to be found.

It wasn't until later that Uzi discovered her father, Khan, had taken them down and stashed them away in a closet labeled "NORI'S KOOKY INSANE STUFF". Her oil boiled with anger and frustration, and she marched over to confront him.

As Khan left the room, he spotted Uzi sulking in a corner, her face twisted into a scowl of anger. Turning toward her, she yelled, "My crazed ramblings! Stay outta my freaking room!"

"Personal space for very alarming coping mechanisms isn't covered under a..." Khan paused to consult his manual. "'non-optional family support structure'." He said in a calm, measured tone.

Uzi, her anger reaching a boiling point, smacked the manual out of her father's hands and retorted, "I'm sorry for being vulnerable for five seconds, okay!? You were never there for me. If you wanna help now, stay distant." With that, she left Khan with no response.

"I may not be an expert on worker drone relationships, but I'm not sure if using a manual to determine whether parenting is done correctly is a good sign that the parent can be reliably trusted." Y/N chimed in, breaking the tense silence that had settled over the room.

"Yeah, what they said," Uzi sighed, her frustration palpable. "I'm going to talk to N." As she turned to leave, her eyes caught sight of something unusual.

A child's skeleton wearing a dress that stood next to a slightly taller skeleton prop dressed in a dark red suit. Uzi couldn't help but wonder what it was doing there. "What is this?!" She asked, pointing to the skeleton props.

"Prom dress for you and a gender-neutral prom suit for Y/N. Child's small and teen's medium respectively," Khan explained sternly. "You're both grounded from seeing those bad influencing murder drones."

Uzi was taken aback. "Huh?" she questioned.

"But, I talked to your teacher to find you classmates to go with tonight!" Khan added, his voice growing more excited.

"HUH?!" Uzi exclaimed, her unease growing by the second.

Without warning, Khan opened a door to reveal two familiar faces. Doll gave a friendly wave, but Uzi's attention was immediately drawn to Lizzy, who sneered at her and said, "'Sup, freak, and her questionably hot step-sibling? Prepare to be popular."

Uzi felt a wave of panic wash over her, and she screamed at the top of her lungs. "What is going on?!" Y/N, who had been watching the scene unfold with confusion, was equally lost.

Meanwhile, the bitter cold had settled in the Corpse House, casting an eerie atmosphere on the desolate room. N and V stood facing each other, facing two lifeless skeletons that were frozen in ice.

One of them was adorned in a shimmering red dress that sparkled in the dim light, while the other wore a dapper tuxedo. N's mind was racing with memories of the past when Uzi had denied his help, and he couldn't shake off the feeling of being too dangerous.

"I do want to be dapper... But no! That's why you had me find these? We can't interact with the workers anymore, V." he said, his voice heavy with a sense of foreboding.

V's eyes rolled in exasperation. "That's exactly the point. We show up looking fabulous, and the purple one lets us in because she has no friends. We take care of business and be on our way."

N shook his head, feeling a sense of unease creeping over him. "I'm not taking you along for a prom murder, V. Besides, J turned into a holo-spooky-snake-crab, and we don't even know what we are."

V fell silent, pondering over N's words. "Okay, fine. We'll only kill what we need to survive. Just you and me, N. But promise me you'll stop prying into that stuff." She said, her tone softer now.

V and N stood transfixed, their eyes glued to the nearby key that lay on the grimy ground. Its rusted surface seemed to taunt them, a tantalizing promise of freedom from the metal collar that held V captive. As they contemplated their next move, the scene cut back to Y/N and Uzi, who had accompanied Lizzy and Doll to the latter's house.

Lizzy wrinkled her nose in disgust, kicking away a robot cockroach that scurried past her feet. "Doll, do you ever clean?" she asked, eyeing the dilapidated surroundings.

"Я повесила простынь. Они спят," Doll replied, her voice monotone. Her words translated to "I put a sheet up. They're sleeping."

Uzi and Y/N followed behind, gingerly avoiding the bugs that crawled across the floor. Uzi's skin crawled as she took in the dilapidated surroundings, especially the dark corner that was bathed in eerie red light.

"Hey, thanks for having us, but now that my dad thinks we're here, we really should-" Uzi trailed off as she heard the door slam shut behind them, trapping them in the creepy house.

Lizzy let out a throaty chuckle, her head thrown back in amusement. "You're hilarious," she said, her eyes crinkling with mirth as she turned to face Doll.

"She's hilarious." She repeated, gesturing towards Uzi and Y/N. "You two should get ready. You're both gonna look so cute, in a brave way."

Uzi spun around, only to find Doll standing in front of her, as if she had magically appeared out of thin air. A chill ran down Uzi's spine as she noticed the trash can next to Doll, filled to the brim with missing persons posters. Even Y/N, who was often oblivious to the nuances of social situations, knew that this was not something to take lightly.

"Ванная по коридору налево." Doll said with a creepy smile, her words seeming to hang in the air like a sinister melody. The translation came through as: "Bathroom is down the hall to the left."

Uzi backed away slowly, her heart pounding in her chest. She nervously groaned as she grabbed Y/N's hand, pulling them towards the bathroom. Y/N quickly got the message, ready to defend themselves if necessary.

Meanwhile, back with N and V, the former was struggling to decide if unlocking the latter's collar would be a good call. He gnawed on his metallic lip, his eyes darting back and forth between the key and V's piercing gaze.

Nervously, N said, "Uh... V, if you're hiding something, we can figure it out together. Even if we each only have pieces. Please, what do you know-" Before he could finish, V's razor-sharp claws sliced through the air, severing his robotic head from his body in one swift motion.

N's tumbled to the ground, sparks and oil flying from the exposed wires and circuits. Though N could regenerate with ease, it would take a while before he could reattach his head and function properly again.

"What's best for you." V said with a firm tone, her expression then softening a bit. "Even if you hate me for it."

With that, V spread her wings and flew out of the Landing Pod, leaving N's headless body behind. As this went on, Uzi was in the restroom, doing Y/N's hair since they couldn't manage to do it themselves. Uzi's left eye suddenly began to twitch and spasm uncontrollably.

Covering her right eye with her hand, Uzi whispered, "Easy, Robo-Satan. Not this mirror."

Her eye slowly returned to normal, but before she could relax, it suddenly went crazy again, shattering the mirror into tiny pieces that rained down on the bathroom floor.

Uzi, her heart racing, struggled to climb onto the bathroom sink with her trembling hands. But her mind was distracted by the muffled voice of Lizzy coming from the other side of the bathroom door, talking to Doll.

Uzi's heart skipped a beat as she listened to their conversation. "Dude, no one will notice she's missing. Just do your thing, and I'll let in V. We'll see you there." Lizzy's voice reassured Doll.

Uzi's expression turned from worried to dark as she processed what she had just heard. "What the f-" she muttered to herself. Suddenly, she heard a dripping noise coming from the direction of the bathtub. She looked over and saw blood dripping from the tub.

Uzi's heart sank as she realized what had happened. She went to investigate, pulling back the curtain to find corpses over corpses covered in blood, along with broken mirrors inside the bathtub.

Meanwhile, at the Corpse House, N had just woken up, his head fully regenerated after being abruptly sliced off by V. He sat up, rubbing his neck, trying to process what had just happened.

"Oh, no, oh, no, oh, no...!" He exclaimed, his voice quivering with fear. As he left the room, he looked back at the skeletons with a suit on.

N tried to leave again, but something made him turn back. "No, no time!" He muttered to himself. He left the pod, but then peeked his head back down. "Dapper N..." he whispered excitedly, his eyes shining with a newfound confidence.

Uzi's stomach churned with disgust at the sight of so many corpses of covered in blood in the bathtub. The once pristine white porcelain was now stained a deep shade of red, and the smell of blood filled the air.

Suddenly, she heard footsteps approaching. Doll's footsteps. Her heart racing, Uzi looked up at the ventilation shaft and nudged Y/N to help her. Together, they quickly scrambled up the ladder they had built out of the shattered mirrors, just as Doll entered the bathroom. But it was too late. Uzi and Y/N had already made their escape.

"Как они по-русски любят говорить... 'Ой, я должна была предположить, что кто-то сможет убежать через вентиляцию, используя выброшенные зеркала как ступеньки'." Doll said in a very specific, long Russian saying.

It roughly translated to: "As they say in Russian... 'Whoops, I should've predicted that someone could escape out of a ventilation shaft using discarded mirrors as stairs.'"

Outside, Y/N's propeller wings kept them and Uzi afloat in the air as they flew through the night. They clung to each other tightly, trying to steady themselves against the wind.

But their flight was cut short when N suddenly made an unexpected and accidental landing right on top of them, causing all three to crash to the ground with a loud thud.

Uzi and Y/N's eyes widened in surprise at the sight of N, who had just landed on top of them. They stared at him, unsure of what to say or do.

"N?!" Uzi finally managed to say, her voice laced with disbelief.

"Uzi? Y/N?" N questioned back, equally as surprised.

"Why are-" Uzi tried to say, but her words were interrupted by N.

"You look-" N also tried to say, but he too was cut off by Uzi.

"I think something bad-" Uzi tried again, determined to finish her sentence.

"I, uh-" N attempted, but he was struggling to find the right words.

For a moment, silence enveloped them before Uzi spoke again. "I think something bad-" She started, before N cut in once more.

"I could help." N offered, before walking off and muttering to himself. "But you probably don't want me..."

Uzi and Y/N exchanged a puzzled look before Uzi spoke up. "No, I could use the help... of you... being there... with me... Though Y/N is kinda already overkill..." she said, gesturing towards Y/N's propeller wings and nuclear miniguns.

N rushed behind them, pulling Uzi and Y/N into a tight hug. "Dapper buddies!" He exclaimed.

Uzi nudged N away, but she couldn't help but smile at his enthusiasm, making a ":3" face. "Uzi, why are you blushing?" Y/N asked, clearly oblivious to the tension between Uzi and N.

"Shush." Uzi retorted, her cheeks flushing neon green as she tried to hide her embarrassment.
