Interference

Back within the confines of the grand manor, Tessa found herself confined to her room, her leg mercilessly bound by a heavy chain. Desperation echoed through the halls as she called out to the trapped automatons with a plea for assistance.

"J, industrial machinery, chuck us a hand!" she implored, her voice carrying the weight of urgency. Yet, loyalty to the company held J captive, and the response that echoed back held a tinge of regret.

"Sorry, boss. Corporate's spoken." J replied, their allegiance to the corporation outweighing any allegiance to Tessa.

"Cyn! If that little butler dies for your sake, I swear!" Tessa's voice erupted with a mix of frustration and concern, directed towards Cyn.

But Cyn, engrossed in her robotic existence, paid no heed, continuing to tinker with her toys. In a cold, mechanical monotone, she dismissed N's worthiness. "Mm. I have backups." She stated matter-of-factly, implying that N, being just another automaton, was easily expendable.

With no allies in sight, Tessa resorted to investigating her surroundings in search of a means to free herself from the chains.

However, her plans were interrupted when Cyn materialized by her side, taking on an otherworldly, Eldritch form. A sudden change of heart transformed Cyn's intentions, as she decided to offer her aid.

"You will not have to discard your pets, and I will not discard you," Cyn spoke with an unsettling blend of reassurance and warning despite only ever being dull and neutral.

"Best stay away from the gala, though. You seem squeamish." With those enigmatic words, Cyn departed, leaving behind a peculiar toy that skittered across the floor, which mimicked the movements of a colossal insect.

Beyond the confines of the manor, N found himself engaged in a conversation with crow Uzi and eagle Y/N. The air crackled with intrigue as N sought answers, his voice laced with curiosity.

"So, these are memories, and future me is dead at a sleepover?" N inquired, his words tinged with a mix of disbelief and uncertainty.

Uzi clarified the situation while stooping to pick up a stone. "Not a sleepover. You passed out 'cause some internal program is trying to delete these memories." She elucidated, her voice carrying knowledge.

"I believe it could be because there's a key to unlocking a secret to your background. Or more so, your transformation from a Worker Drone to a Disassembly Drone." They explained, their voice resonating with the weight of hidden truths.

"Why do I feel like that's more of a literal expression than figurative...?" Uzi said as her tone dripped with a mix of jest and sincerity.

"'Cause... 'Cause of you two? 'Cause you're both doing that?" N asked before Uzi dropped the stone on his head.

"Systems are deleting your memories, vital data, lore, blah, blah, fan theories, blah, blah, clear enough for you?" She declared, holding the stone aloft before releasing it to strike N's head.

"We're helping, you cute, weird, weird butler. We find out what happened to you here, restore the memory files, and save you from being digitally lobotomized. Library basement, giddy up." Uzi affirmed, her voice carrying an urgent tone.

"...'Kay." N replied, acquiescing to the quest ahead as he set forth towards the hallowed halls of the library. However, his lingering suspicions couldn't be suppressed, and he voiced his thoughts aloud, treading carefully.

"You kind of seem like an evil ghost witch, though. Y/N is a bit less scary, I think." He expressed, provoking Uzi's mischievous response. Without warning, Uzi retaliated by pecking N's eye, eliciting a sharp cry of surprise from him. "AH!"

"I AM a ghost witch! And I'm tall." Uzi proclaimed, relishing in her own wickedness. But the momentary glee was abruptly interrupted when a familiar voice resounded from outside their realm. "DAD! GET OUT OF OUR ROOM!"

In an instant, the surroundings distorted and glitched, and Uzi found herself abruptly transported back to the present timeline. "Important hacking going on!" Uzi defended herself, her retort echoing with urgency.

Y/N, having disconnected from the recesses of N's memories, now joined Uzi in the present, concern etched upon their face.

Their arm morphed into a nuclear cannon, poised to defend against any imminent threat. "Father? Is something wrong? Is there anything I should dispose of?" they questioned, their loyalty shining through.

Khan sought to ease their concerns, addressing them in a reassuring tone. "No, it's nothing, Y/N. It's just that your sister just never had friends over before." He explained, emphasizing the distinction. "You know, aside from you."

"IT'S NOT A SLEEPOVER!" Uzi interjected, her frustration evident.

Just then, Uzi's diminutive insect companion materialized, projecting a digital message that bore a sense of urgency. It read: "IT'S LIFE OR DEATH, DAD! >:(" With a determined glint in her eyes, Uzi closed the door firmly, sealing their conversation from prying eyes.

Immersed within the depths of N's hacked memories, Uzi and Y/N assumed their true forms as a raven and an eagle, respectively. Together with N, they stood at the threshold of the library, a sanctuary of forgotten knowledge and undiscovered truths.

Uzi, momentarily disoriented, began to speak. "Sorry. Where were we...? Oh..." She was swiftly interrupted by the realization of their arrival. The sight that greeted them was V's motionless body, like an eerie statue frozen in time, a silent sentinel in the midst of their endeavors.

"Okay, N, I can pull you out any-" Uzi started. However, before she could proceed, N interjected urgently, seeking an immediate escape from V's presence, at least for the time being.

"Now! Now, please!" N pleaded, his voice carrying a sense of urgency and unease, unwilling to confront V in that particular moment.

"-time..." Uzi trailed off, resuming her sentence, having been interrupted.

"N, I understand that this is far from an ideal situation. I mean, obviously, it's not, duh." Y/N began, their words laced with bluntness and a lack of concern for delicate wording.

"But if we retreat now, you may forever lose these memories. It's a choice between uncovering the truth or remaining an ignorant coward," they articulated, the weight of their words underscoring the gravity of the situation.

Uzi, aligning herself with Y/N's sentiments, chimed in, adding her own emphatic agreement. "Yeah, what they said." With resolute determination, they forged ahead, albeit at a cautious pace.

"They're that important?" N questioned, attempting to retreat from the precipice of uncertainty.

"To you! And, like... me." Uzi responded, her tone carrying a subtle warmth that revealed a glimmer of their bond.

Curiosity tinged N's voice as he inquired, his interest piqued by Uzi's enigmatic presence. "Why? Who are you?" he questioned, a glimmer of intrigue gleaming in his eyes, now yearning to uncover Uzi's true identity.

"Yeah, sis. I thought you said you wanted to discover N's memories to-" Y/N, poised to provide an explanation, began to speak, but was swiftly silenced by Uzi's commanding gesture.

"Y/N, shush." She interjected, extending her wing to cover Y/N's beak, redirecting their attention. Uzi turned her focus back to N, evading the subject with a nonchalant dismissal.

"We just... hang out. Shut up." She replied, purposefully deflecting further inquiries. Her wing then pointed towards a concealed trapdoor, exposing the depths of repression within N's memories. "Repression door."

V's eyes flickered with an ominous message, displaying the haunting phrase "ERROR: 606." N hesitated for a moment, then summoned the resolve to nudge V aside, revealing the concealed basement door beneath the rug. However, their progress hit an impasse—the door was locked.

"The key..." Uzi grumbled, her annoyance evident as she confronted the locked trapdoor.

"Ugh, J has it..." N uttered in a tone of frustration, revealing the source of their current predicament. His annoyance, although subtle, was palpable, given his limited range of emotional expression.

"Should we go search for it?" Y/N proposed, seeking a solution to the key conundrum.

They and Uzi's gazes locked, a shared mischievous understanding ignited a smirk, which soon unraveled into unrestrained laughter. Both siblings, their wings transformed into cannons, prepared to unleash their power upon the obstinate trapdoor.

Yet, in the midst of their mirthful revelry, an eerie giggle penetrated the air. Their mirth dissolved into wary anticipation as their eyes slowly shifted towards V, who now sported an unsettling grin, her hand assuming claw appendages.

Under ordinary circumstances, Uzi would have felt threatened, but with her uranium-amplified upgrades, fear found no place to take root.

In the confines of Tessa's room, J found herself in a precarious predicament, desperately attempting to break free from the chains that bound her.

With a touch of theatrics, Tessa seized the perfect opportunity to provoke J, taunting her in a manner so comically effective it never failed to ignite her fury. "It wants paid time off... To attend UUUNION NEGOTIATIOOOONS!"

J, pushed to her breaking point, erupted in a burst of anger. "THIS IS AN UNRELATED LAYOFF!" Her rage unknowingly lent her the strength to shatter the chains that imprisoned her.

She cast a glance toward Tessa, who beamed with pride, giving her a thumbs up to acknowledge the success of their plan.

Back at the lavish gala, Tessa and J stealthily ascended to a vantage point above. Tessa pondered aloud, her voice laced with curiosity and mischief. "How do you reckon we murder us a robo-child, J?"

She referred to Cyn, who had veered off course and gone rogue. As Tessa pondered, she accidentally collided with a suit of armor, while J seized a revolver and Tessa snatched a sword.

"What about swapping weapons?" Tessa and J simultaneously proposed. After a momentary pause, they decided to exchange their chosen implements.

N, positioned above the duo, employed subtle tactics to capture their attention. He whispered, his voice barely audible, "Psst! Tessa!"

Turning their gaze towards N, Tessa and J discovered the arrival of N, Uzi, and Y/N. Suddenly, V's spectacles tumbled from his grasp. Slowly, their eyes lifted, revealing V's presence above them. They huddled together as a united front.

"We require the key to the basement. This avian creature hails from the future," N declared, pointing towards the crow, Uzi, and the eagle, Y/N.

Uzi soared towards J, snatching the key to the trapdoor with a swift motion. "Hey. Me and them? We kill you in the future." She chuckled mischievously, pointing at herself and Y/N, before gracefully returning to N's side.

"We also kissed, and you have a crush on me." Y/N casually added, unaware of the weightiness of her revelation, though Uzi was acutely aware of its significance.

Steering the conversation in a different direction, Tessa burst out, her voice filled with urgency, "Cyn's gonna massacre the gala!"

"Who? Our Cyn? Nah, she's cool," N retorted, finding it hard to believe that Cyn would resort to such drastic measures. However, their doubts were swiftly shattered when V swooped down from above, forcefully scattering the group.

"Do your basement thing! We got the coma patient you creeped on!" J declared, readying herself for a showdown with V while standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Tessa.

"Not creepy! Sweet!" N interjected, offering his support to V. As he turned away, V unexpectedly lashed out with her claw, causing N to fumble and drop the key. Reacting swiftly, Tessa swiftly retrieved the key and tossed it back to N.

In a swift and unexpected motion, V flung J's sword backward in N's direction. With lightning reflexes, J swiftly kicked N out of harm's way, reclaiming her sword in the process. She lunged toward V, engaging in a fierce clash of blades.

Meanwhile, an eccentric human by the name of Lord Frumptlebucket observed the chaos unfolding from a lower vantage point, exclaiming, "Crikey, what a boundin' humphterfruffle!"

Another human named Katie, perplexed by Lord Frumptlebucket's choice of language, voiced her bewilderment. "Why are you talking like that?"

Transitioning to a new setting, N, Uzi, and Y/N swiftly maneuvered their way through the dimly lit library. Urgency propelled them forward until they reached the foreboding basement door, which they promptly unlocked.

Just as they thought they had made it past the obstacles, Cyn suddenly materialized in her unsettling Eldritch Form.

"Jump scare. Grab," Cyn monotonously stated, narrating her actions as she effortlessly snatched Uzi and flung her aside.

"DARKXWOLF17! NOO-HO-HO-HO-HOOO!" N's panicked scream reverberated through the air, his concern for Uzi evident in every trembling syllable.

True to form, witnessing their beloved sibling endure harm ignited an inferno of fury within Y/N. Their rage surged, prompting a transformation from their majestic eagle guise back into their original Atomizer Drone form.

Caught off guard, Uzi voiced her surprise, her words tinged with curiosity. "Wait... we can do that?" Focusing her energy, Uzi's crow body emanated a symphony of sounds, gradually expanding in size and transforming into her original look. "Now we're talking! No way was I going to stay a bird!"

Standing beside Uzi, Y/N crossed their arms, their fiery determination palpable. "So, who shall engage first?" they queried.

"Rock, paper, scissors? Loser takes on the eldritch freak," Uzi proposed, and Y/N readily agreed. After a swift game of hand gestures, Y/N's paper fell short against Uzi's scissors, resulting in their defeat.

"Dammit!" Uzi exclaimed, longing for a chance to confront Cyn. "Whatever, I'll go with N to investigate the trapdoor. Now, Y/N, what do we say to people who want to fight us?"

Y/N's right arm transformed into a blade humming with potent nuclear energy. "Let's dance."

"Damn right! Enjoy yourself!" Uzi exclaimed, bidding farewell as she departed with N, making their way toward the basement, ready to face the unknown.

Without a moment's hesitation, Cyn lunged forward, her elongated limbs and razor-sharp claws aiming to strike Y/N. But Y/N swiftly evaded, their agile frame twisting and contorting with mechanical precision.

Sparks flew as Cyn's claws clashed with the glowing uranium blade of Y/N's arm, a clash of advanced technology and unstoppable force.

With each movement, Y/N unleashed a symphony of precise strikes and deft maneuvers. Their blade hummed with energy, cutting through the air with blinding speed.

Cyn retaliated with waves of eldritch energy, crackling tendrils swirling towards Y/N, attempting to ensnare them. But Y/N's nimble movements allowed them to evade, dodging and ducking with uncanny grace.

As the battle intensified, Y/N tapped into their uranium power, surging with a heightened energy. Their blows grew stronger and more devastating, leaving visible marks on Cyn's shadowy form.

Cyn, relentless and determined, utilized her shape-shifting abilities, morphing her limbs into wicked spikes and jagged edges.

Y/N's nuclear energy surged, enveloping their entire body in a pulsating glow. They propelled forward, channeling their power into a devastating strike.

The uranium blade sliced through Cyn's defenses, rending through the ethereal darkness that comprised her form. Sparks erupted, and Cyn recoiled, momentarily disrupted by the sheer force of the blow.

Seizing the opportunity, Y/N pressed their advantage, unleashing a torrent of strikes, each one propelled by their uranium-fueled strength.

Cyn, battered and faltering, struggled to withstand the onslaught. The clash of metal, energy, and nanobots filled the air as Y/N and Cyn engaged in a mesmerizing dance of power and precision.

Finally, with one decisive strike, Y/N's uranium blade pierced through Cyn's core, an explosion of energy cascading outward. The Eldritch Form dissipated, leaving Cyn incapacitated, her nanobots struggling to reassemble and repair the damage.

Y/N stood victorious, their body radiating with the residual uranium energy, a testament to their indomitable power. The room fell silent, the air heavy with the aftermath of the intense battle. Y/N stood tall, their expression unwavering, as they surveyed the scene.

Suddenly, V emerged, catching everyone off guard. "...And J was useless. Surprise." Uzi commented dryly as she swiftly pulled N into the basement and securely locked the door, effectively keeping V at bay.

Concern etched across his face, N couldn't help but inquire, "Is V... okay? Like, in the future?"

Uzi sighed, her expression filled with disappointment. "Unfortunately. Now, let's see what that little yellow creep was up- Oh...!" Her words trailed off abruptly as she pivoted, her gaze fixated on a haunting sight.

Before them lay a grim tableau of disassembled Worker Drone remnants, their metallic forms scattered haphazardly. "So... That's a pretty... metal origin story..." Uzi remarked, accentuating the grotesque nature of the scene.

N, his voice barely above a whisper, admitted, "Not dealing with this great, to be immediately honest...!" He briefly wrestled with his terror, swiftly suppressing it as he always did. "...Okay, it's gone."

"Alright, let's get out of here." Uzi urged, her voice laced with urgency, but before they could act, a foreboding rumble shook the surroundings. Meanwhile, in the present time, outside the realm of N's memories...

"Hey, buddy, you invite Doll to this-" Khan began asking, only to be abruptly silenced as Doll grabbed him and tossed him out, forcefully making her way into Uzi's room.

Back in the past, Uzi snapped back to reality, abruptly pulled out of her hacking trance in N's memories. Concern etched across his face, N questioned, his voice tinged with fear, "Ghost buddy...? You okay...?"

"Better than ever, 'buddy'." Eldritch Cyn retorted, managing to escape Y/N's assault just enough to retreat elsewhere to regenerate, seizing N and hurling him into a nearby chair. "Let's reset these memories one more time."

"Oh no, you don't." Y/N intervened, their swift blade slicing through one of Cyn's monstrous claws. However, as they barged into the room, V entered as well, quickly turning the situation into a daunting 2v1 showdown.

"2v1? Alright." Undeterred, Y/N cracked their neck with a confident grin, ready to face the formidable challenge ahead. "Let's rock."

"Scoff. Cool retort." Eldritch Cyn responded, her words laced with a hint of derision as she continued her habit of narrating her every move. "Prepare to be reduced to a mere scrap heap. V, engage in combat."
