MYSTERIOUS PINK FOREST

Sakura just finished her hunting. She was skipping as she walked home. Though with each skip she was going at least a 100 meters.

" Hey Astra?" she said.

" I have been meaning to ask but is there anything the system shop doesn't sell?"

Sakura asked. She has been contemplating on it for a while now. The system shop literally has everything she can think of.

"Wait, there is?"

< Yes, you can't buy death from the system shop.>

"buy, what the what now!"

< master cannot buy suicidal items.>

"oh is that so. That's a really weird restriction! Wait, does that mean I can buy anything as long as I pay for it?"

"Then things like time travel abilities."

Sakura quickly opened her shop tab while lightly hopping through the forest. She searched time travel related abilities.

Sakura closed the shop panel as she hopped through the forest. She had done a lot of hunting today and earned a total of 6 EP.

This was lot considering she needed to blow up a mountain range just to get 5 EP, previously.

By the time she reached the shrine it was already after noon. She quickly got into the bath.

"Hey, Astra?"

"why do I feel like my body has grown taller?"

She has been meaning to ask this for a long time. She had noticed it on the second day but she didn't make much of it.

< It's due to bloom season. During this time Master's body will transition from a child to an adult in just seven days. >

" is that so?"

It looks like the bloom season is more than it meets the eyes.

Sakura looked at the orange sky while sinking further into the bath.

She raised her hand towards the sky and looked at her fair skin. It was extremely beautiful. Coupled with her child-like appearance it's safe to say that she could become an Idol just with her appearance.

"Hey Astra? Why am I so beautiful in this life?"

She asked. After all, in her past life she wasn't really that beautiful. Her previous appearance could be described as a normal Japanese girl.

< It's because Sakura trees themselves are really beautiful. And since master is the spirit of Sakura trees, so your beauty is also otherworldly. >

"Is that so ?"

Sakura sank deeper and deeper into the bath while getting lost in thought.

She realized it just now but even with her beauty and powers she felt a little lonely in this shrine. Today she even tried to reach the end of this pink forest. But to her Surprise the forest is bigger than she thought. She even asked Astra how big it was.

148,460 square kilometers.

That's how big the forest is. It seems this mountain terrain is just a small part of the entire Sakura forest.

Though according to Astra the nearest town is towards the north-west. It is a 5 days trip by foot. Sakura had already decided to visit this place next year when she wakes up.

After staying in the bath for quit a while she stood up and got changed into her usual shrine maiden outfit. It seems these cloths never gets dirty for some reason.

After bathing, since she didn't have much to do she decided to sleep early. A world without mobile phones and manga was truly boring.

After making her bed and laying down she closed her eyes.

After an hour,

"Urgg, why is it so hard to fall asleep!"

Sakura sat up. She was turning sides for at least for an hour.

< Maybe, you should take a walk outside. It should help you fall asleep faster. >

" yeah, you're right."

Sakura stood up and went to the door and opened it to go outside.

The outside wasn't dark. Mainly because of the big moon that hung in the sky. It wasn't a full moon but really close to a full moon.

The pink Sakura forest in the ethereal moon light looked enchanting. When she came to the gate of the shrine she saw that the whole sakura forest was reflecting the moon light and creating this pink hue. The wind was brushing past her in a gentle manner. Everything was extremely calm and serene.

"This forest never cese to amaze me."

< Indeed >

Sakura quietly sat down and stared into the forest that was emitting a pink hue.

"I miss my family." She said.

Sakura was having flashbacks of her time with her family. Her family on earth was not that outstanding or anything.

In fact they were average. Her father was a governmental financial officer and a part time lawyer. Her mother was an average housewife. Her little sister was an average grade school kid. And she herself was just an average highschool girl.

But even with all those average qualities she felt like their family was a really really happy family. Probably the happiest family in the world.

"I feel lonely."

" Yes, you are probably the whole reason I'm sane right now."

Even though she felt a little lonely, the loneliness came from her missing her family.

Strangely, despite being afraid of ghosts , Sakura felt safe in this forest.

It's as if this forest is her family that protects her from the coldness of the world by giving her the warmth of love.

While thinking these things Sakura fell asleep. Astra who was quietly listening her masters thoughts said in a quiet and soft manner,

< Good night, master. >

The Sakura trees that were towering the skies suddenly knelt and surrounded her as if to protect Sakura from the cold wind.

The night grew older and older as Sakura slept peacefully in the warmth of the forest.

"This is really abnormal." Jack said with a grim face.

"Do you think it is the monsters doing it!" Lilia added.

They were currently in the forest of pink trees that they had discovered. It was night time and they just finished setting up the tents.

Venion was deep in thought. Hearing Lilia's questions he came to his senses.

"It most probably is the monsters doing. Though the no man's land is a mysterious place. So we sould be careful of what we do. I have heard there are stories of people going missing. Heck I've heard that in the past a whole army went missing in the no man's land." Venion said with a grim face.

The others shuddered. At Venions word.

They all were curious about the secret of this land. But some things are best left untouched. They were here to just scout. So they were prepared to run if anything dangerous happened.

With caution in mind two three of them went to sleep as two stood guards for any danger that may come.
