Terrorism And Bombs

The night town was somewhat bustling. The hops were open and the trades were happening even at night. In fact, the city felt more lively during the night. Sakura walked through the city streets heading towards the city gate. She plans to go to an open place to test out magic.

"It's lively out here," she muttered. The night city was crowded and the merchants were everywhere. Many loading cargo on their carriages. People haggle with prices and goods. The whole place was somewhat chaotic but there was a certain rhythm to all the chaos.

"This town feels more like a medical world than a magical one."

< Probably because this is not a central location. >

"You mean there are more magical places?"

< Compared to here, yes there should be. >

"Come to think of it. I didn't meet many powerful individuals till now."

< You are pretty strong, master. >

"But still, even though I am strong there should at least be beings that can go on par with me."

< There should be some. >

"Can you buy information on it?"

< It will take 2 EP. >

"Do it."

A string of information entered Sakura's head.

>>>

1. Fragments of Black Guardian: The guide of souls who lost his life in a fight with ???. Now his soul wanders this world with a fragment of his powers. This entity can kill the user.

2. Ancestral Dragon: An old dragon at the end of his life span. Due to his old age, he is weak right now. This entity can go on par with the user.

3. Goddess of Stars: Astra, the goddess of stars, who governs the afterlife and souls. This entity can defeat the user but can not kill the user.

4. ???: this entity doesn't exist. Can defeat the user.

5. Kappa: A monster living in the eastern sea. Can defeat the user.

"Pft!" Upon noticing something on the list Sakura couldn't help but chuckle. 'Goddess of Stars. That's a catchy title.'

< If you don't like it I can change it, master. >

'No, it's fine. I think I like it. Though I didn't realize you were powerful.'

< This list is based on your current strength. None of these beings can rival you on the seventh bloom day. >

'But still, there are so many powerful beings, it's scary. Not to mention some of these creatures are in their weakened states. There's also that question mark guy.'

< The question mark guy is probably a remnant of a very powerful entity. Sometimes these powerful entities can die by erasing their existence from time and space. >

'Sheesh, that sounds scary.'

Sakura inquired more about these beings as she made her way out of the town.

"Hello there, good sir. Take a seat." Jester greeted the knight captain with an enthusiastic face.

The knight captain took a seat in front of Jester. There was a certain hesitation in his eyes. But he had made up his mind. If things went on like this Fredric wouldn't be able to handle the territory without the head butler and without a hair to the territory. Things would just go downhill.

That is why the knight captain had decided to rebel and save the territory. What Jester had said was indeed right. There was tension in the town. Though not apparent right now the prices of goods were going up. This is the first sign of chaos.

"So, have this good sir changed his mind?" Jester's voice was giddy as ever.

"Yes, I want your help in the rebellion." The knight captain replied.

"Of course, of course. I would be excited to help you, the future hero of our territory."

The knight captain didn't feel right about this deal, but he could always stab Jester in the back so it didn't matter.

"What kind of help can you give me?" He asked taking a sip of the tea.

"All kinds. I can help give you troops, I can give personals to look after the repetitive and boring job of the utility division, I can even give you high-grade weapons and artifacts." Jester replied.

"I would like the extra troops and weapons but the help with utility division isn't necessary." the knight's captain wasn't a fool. The utility divisions' work may seem unimportant. However, the navigation of the troops and the management of supply was part of the utility divisions' work. Both of which are important in the upcoming rebellion.

"I won't pressure you about anything. After all, we are doing it for the territories' good. I am happy to help in any way I can." Jester was polite with his words and had a kind smile on his face.

The knight captain wasn't a fool. He knew he was treading a risky path by complying with Jester.

'But I won't be put down. I will craft my own path to glory. I will save this territory and all its people. People will know my real name and not as the knight's captain. From this day I am not the Knights captain. I will be known as Victor, the name that my proud mother and father gave me, not my title given by my petty job. And I will show through this world my capabilities.' He made a vow internally. He wanted to make history, not just be a nameless territories knight orders captain.

*Zooop!* *Boom!!!*

An explosion was sounded as the surrounding trees broke by an invisible force.

"Wow, space magic is kinda amazing." Sakura was amazed by the attack power of a non-offensive spell. This was the modified Omni-view spell. Sakura put more mana into it and she was able to control gravity to some extent. it was the most straightforward thing Sakura could think of. Pour more mana into the spell.

And with that, Sakura had a magic spell that wouldn't destroy the whole city when cast.

"Hm let's see." Sakura bought out the spell book and looked at some more spells. With her system translation, it was all the same no matter if it was some sort of ancient language or a normal one.

"Should I go with something complex?" Sakura was feeling confident so she decided to cast a complicated spell this time.

< I would suggest sticking with the basics for some time. > Astra advised.

"Come on. I am not casting any offensive spell so the damage would be minimal."

< Even so you should be careful, master. The wrong way of spell casting can damage your physical body. >

"Yeah yeah, I will be careful."

While turning the pages Sakura stubbled across the ideal spell.

"Space tunnel. A tunnel in space that connects two points. Although there is a weird cast time of 1 second per 299,792,458 meters."

Sakura decided to cast this thing. After all, if she mastered this spell, traveling would become so much easier.

"Okay let's see." Sakura focused on the contents of the book.

It was very difficult to do. Because the spell required her to do the math. Sakura nearly gave up when she saw math. But she preserved. The return was simply too much to give up.

Basically what she needed to do was find two anchors. These anchors would be enhanced with the word magic. When activated these anchors will send out their location to the caster. Sakura then would use those two locations to stretch space and make a small tunnel through space. There was a limitation to this technique though. You can use an anchor only one time.

However, no matter the limitations the cons couldn't outweigh the pros. it allowed Sakura to instantaneously teleport.

So she started all the preparations. She found two sticks in the forest and quietly sat down near a big tree. With the help of a flashlight, she started drawing the patterns on the sticks. Time went by in the dark forest. Sakura gave full concentration on the patterns using her mana very meticulously. She had learned that word magic was versatile but required more precision than just casting magic directly.

>> Artifact

Name: Remote-Controlled Bombs

A bomb that can be detonated remotely.

Skill:

· Mana Overload

Due to the abundance of mana, the artifact will explode when activated.

Rank: A

· Remote Control

The artifact could be activated remotely by the creator.

Rank: C

"What the..." Sakura looked at the artifact, speechless.

< It looks like you put too much mana, master. >

"But I tried to hold back as much as possible, though."

< That still seems to be too much. >

"..."

< It's no matter master. You can still try another one. >

"Yeah, you're right." Sakura started doing another one.

But,

10 minutes later,

>> Artifact

Name: Remote-Controlled Bombs

A bomb that can be detonated remotely.

Skill:

· Mana Overload

Due to the abundance of mana, the artifact will explode when activated.

Rank: A

· Remote Control

The artifact could be activated remotely by the creator.

Rank: C

"Why?" All the anchors she tried making turned out to be bombs.

*Plop!* Sakura just gave up and plopped on the grass lying down. Even though her mana was completely depleted and her body felt like shit, she still couldn't get it right. She did try to buy the anchors at the shop but it was too pricy. 100 EP each to be exact.

< It's okay master. You are still learning. You should try to take it easy. >

"Yeah, but this thing was so important."

< Everything is somewhat important, master. You should learn to hold back and relax since you will get there eventually. >

Sakura thought for a moment. Astra was right. Everything was somewhat important. To be able to beg is a beggar's priority and to be able to rule is a king's priority. Even though both were priorities they were so different.

"Pft, I don't even know what I am thinking about." Philosophy was never Sakura's strong point. However, It still amazed her how interesting it was to stop and look into it.

Half an hour later,

Astra looked at Sakura's sleeping face. While thinking about a weird philosophy that doesn't make sense, Sakura fell asleep on the grass. She probably was too tired from exhausting her mana.

Astra turned towards a nearby tree.

Suddenly, many silhouettes jumped down from the shadows.

"Hoho looks like the beauty has noticed us." One of them said.

Astra's expression was as cold as ever.

Bandits, ruffians, or just random people, she didn't care who these people were.

She raised her hand,

*snap!!!*

The men who were just about to talk fell to the ground, lifeless.

"Please don't talk, my master is sleeping." She muttered.

After that, she carefully took Sakura in a princess carry and flew away towards the town. The flight was fast swift and soundless.

Astra reached the inn and entered through the window. She then placed Sakura on the bed and pulled up the blanket.

"Good night master."
