Half-brothers

Outside Damien's pack, the tension between Edward and his brother reached a boiling point.

Edward accused his brother, Cane,of wanting him dead,"You wanted Damien to kill me!" His anger fuelled the fiery blaze in his eyes as he unsheathed his claws, ready for a fight.

"You have to lose something to get something," Cane retorted with a maniacal laugh, reveling in Edward's gullibility. He had manipulated his brother, and Edward fell into his trap, blinded by rage.

"I will kill you!" Edward threatened, forcefully pushing the table aside that separated them in the dining hall. It took him two weeks to recover from the previous incident, thanks to Cane's misinformation.

If only he hadn't let anger cloud his judgment, he wouldn't have fallen into his brother's snare. Why was Cane determined to get what he wants by killing him? How could a murderer lead innocent lives?
