Coming in Vain

"You would need more strength to bear our son, werewolves kids are a handful," his voice startled her, making her widen her mouth in shock. Had he been awake all this time? And yet again, he was teasing her.

"What was with the fake act?" Unable to hold in her anger, she asked, clenching her fist.

"You woke me up, it wasn't an act." He said, turning to lie on his side, looking at her like he wasn't guilty of anything.

"It was. Do you know how hard it was for me to carry you?" She asked, glaring down at him.

"No, but your top is already telling me that," directing his gaze on her exposed shoulder, he remarked, chuckling.

Her top was barely hanging around her shoulder, thanks to having to carry this heavy man all the way here. What was more, she spent more of her strength trying to lay him properly.
