Into the Woods part 1

The Campsite

The sun was beginning to set as Mia, Emma, and Jake arrived at the campsite. They had been planning this trip for months and were excited to spend the next few days in the great outdoors. They quickly set up their tents, unpacked their supplies, and started a fire.

As they sat around the fire, roasting marshmallows and telling ghost stories, Mia couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. She glanced around the dark forest, her eyes scanning the trees for any signs of movement. But everything was still and quiet, except for the crackling of the fire and the occasional hoot of an owl.

"Hey, Mia, you alright?" Emma asked, noticing Mia's uneasy expression.

"Yeah, just a little spooked, I guess," Mia replied, trying to brush off her unease.

Jake chuckled. "Come on, Mia, you know there's nothing to be afraid of out here. We're just a bunch of city kids roughing it in the woods."

Mia smiled weakly, still feeling unsettled. But she didn't want to ruin the mood, so she tried to enjoy the rest of the evening with her friends. They chatted, played games, and eventually decided to turn in for the night.

As they crawled into their tents and settled into their sleeping bags, Mia couldn't help but feel like they were being watched. She heard rustling in the bushes and twigs snapping underfoot, but every time she looked outside, there was nothing there.

Finally, exhausted from the day's excitement, Mia fell asleep. But her dreams were plagued by visions of a shadowy figure lurking in the woods, watching their every move.

Little did she know, her nightmare was only just beginning.
