The next few days passed in relative quiet. And soon it was nearing time for Aubrey to return to her home, something she was both anticipating and dreading.


Aubrey's face had regained its color and the smaller wounds on her body has healed. However, her leg was still in a cast and she would need to keep it on for another 4 weeks. It was a good thing Aubrey's boss at the cafeteria was understanding and managed to find another student to work while she was out. But the same cannot be said for her waitressing job, she was summarily fired by her employer for missing a day of work and the previous week's paycheck was deposited on her account.
