My Darling Alpha

The trio began taking turns "guarding" Valentin Korotkoff, all to the older Lycan's dismay. Though Valentin knew that he wasn't strong enough to overcome the werewolf killer. He still felt ill at ease to be letting the young-ins protect him. At his age, Valentin may be past his "prime" but he was still stronger than the average Lycan. He should be the one protecting them, not the other way around! However when he tried to reason with his son, the latter wouldn't be dissuaded.

And so, for seven days and seven nights Valentin was in seclusion, his son and his son's friends stood guard in the mansion. During this time, no other incident occurred.

Soon the other Lycans have begun to get complacent. It was only Dimitri and Rhyland that remained tense and at attention.

On the eighth day, the pair were about to exchange shifts when Rhyland pulled Dimitri back to discuss something that had been weighing on his mind.
