Chapter 141: Panic Button

The air outside was chilly. In the dimly lit patio, Aubrey could see the visage of the man smoking a piece of cigarette. He didn't seem like he noticed Aubrey's presence.

Aubrey didn't smoke. But it appeared that the only reason a woman would be approaching a smoking man was to ask for a light. Aubrey was in a quandary. Should she pretend to smoke? But she didn't know how to! She quickly unmuted the girl on the other end of the line. "Natasha, I'm here with Jeffrey at the back. What should I do?" It was now her turn to hear silence. The line got cut.

Dammit! Dammit all to hell!

She stood awkwardly in the corner for a few seconds before finally making up her mind to approach the man. But before she had taken a few steps forward, the man spoke.

"I've seen you from before. You've been looking at me."

Jeffrey's preternatural sight saw Aubrey's eyes widened in surprise and he smiled a predatory smile
