After a tragic accident that sent her back 845 years in time to the year 1177, in the Middle Ages, during the reign of Baldwin IV of Jerusalem, Kate Mitchell, a wealthy business tycoon in the pharmaceutical industry, a gifted ex-military, a pharmacologist and botanist, and a brilliant archer from 2022, wakes up as Lady Philippa, a pretty, innocent, frail, and proper young lady of House Antioch, with whom she shares nothing in common. She realised she had died on that day, and her soul travels back in time and takes over the body of Philippa, a helpless lady who would face tragedy, betrayal, and scandal before dying young and heartbroken.

She chose to live as Philippa because she had a second chance at life and only one goal in mind: to live and survive at any cost. To succeed, she must thrive and learn to live in the Medieval era, where nothing is common for her, and, above all, she must avoid an arranged marriage, which will doom Phillipa to death after a terrible heartbreak.

The Leper King's Healer

As soon as the sun rises, Emma, Lady Philippa's handmaid, begins her day by preparing her lady's clean water to wash her face and dress for the day, as well as a hot cup of tea and bread. As soon as she opened Lady Philippa's bedroom door, she cheerfully greeted the sleeping lady, "it is such a wonderful day my lady, I think we should..." as she opened the bed curtain, she was stunned and blushed to see King Baldwin sleeping in the bed and Lady Philippa sleeping at his arms. 


"oh...Good lord..." she mumbled as she took a step back and slowly closed the door. 


William of Tyre had just arrived in Jerusalem at the same time and day, bearing bad news for Lady Philippa and King Baldwin. After dismounting his horse and being greeted by Aimery, he entered the castle, followed by Aimery, and went straight to Lady Philippa's bedroom chamber. As soon as he walked in, he noticed Emma, who was tense and flushed, walking back and forth in the corridors.
