Chapter Fifty Four: Good Friends

A soft moan could be heard inside the room as the sound of chains rattling against each other broke the silence.

Valerie opened her eyes and winced. She rubbed the sore part on her head as she finally got a clearer view of her surroundings.

She was getting whacked in the head so much these days!

The room she was in was empty, she was the only occupant in the room and she was chained to the wall.

She shook the chains again and turned to the door.

It was locked.

She bit her tongue and tried to steady her breathing and remain calm

"Help! Is somebody out there?! Help me!"

She yelled, but no body came and no sound was made.

She trembled slightly as she tried to remember what happened to her. She went out of the company to walk a little and get some fresh air when she felt something hard make contact with the back of her head and she passed out.

It all happened in a flash that she didn't even see the face of her attacker, or hear the sound of his footsteps.
