Cilian
He stopped when they reached under the stairwell. The hallways were quiet thanks to class going on, and it seemed Hyun hadn't bothered to follow them. Good.
Breathing out a heavy sigh, Cilian let go of Ivy's wrist. "Sorry. I didn't hurt you, did I?" He quietly asked, rubbing the back of his neck. Ivy seemed to tilt her head in confusion, so Cilian held his wrists up, gesturing to it.
"Oh," she quickly shook her head, "no, I'm fine."
Cilian gave a slight nod, running a hand through his hair. Needless to say, things couldn't have gotten any worse for him. First, he runs into beavis and butt-head, then enters Hyun of all people-- oh, and how could he forget being thrown back into the worst period of his life? Cilian let out a low groan, pinching the bridge of his nose. He was used to playing with the shitty cards life had dealt him, but this seemed to be the worst hand possible.
Huffing, he turned his back to Ivy. "Listen, thanks for trying to step back there, but don't do it again. I can take care of myself and-"
"You know Hyun, don't you?"
Cilian paused. He looked over his shoulder to see Ivy staring up at him, a determined look in her eyes. It was irritating.
"It doesn't matter." He replied, turning back to face her.
"But it does. We're partners in this so I need to know anything that may affect the plan."
Cilian felt himself twinge from this. His jaw jutted forward, nostrils flaring. "Partners? What exactly are you sacrificing in this plan, huh? Last I checked, you're not the one risking your life!" He shouted, stepping toward her. Ivy remained firm in her place, her eyes slightly widening. "So…are you backing out of the deal?" Her tone was quiet, calm- a stark contrast to Cilian's. It made him pause, forcing himself to take a deep breath and calm down himself. Blowing up was the last thing he needed.
"No. Just…stay out of my personal business and I'll stay out of yours."
Before she could protest, Cilian turned on his heels and stormed off down the hall.
With the amount of people he needed to dodge, Cilian decided to just leave school. He dodged the patrolling hall monitors and slipped out one of the back doors. From there, Cilian snuck off school property and headed down the sidewalk. As he did, the image of Ivy kicking James flashed through his mind. A faint chuckle escaped his lips.
