Cilian
The room parted like the red sea, allowing Cilian a clear view of Hyun.
"Took awhile, but it finally hit me," he chuckled, taking slow steps towards Cilian, stalking him like prey. He stopped just a metre away and flashed a dark smirk.
"You're the bastard who cheated to beat me in the ring, aren't you?"
Instantly did Cilian's gaze flicker with rage. It took everything in him to hold back his punches. "Say that again, I dare you."
Hyun leaned down so they were at eye level, blowing out the words in a condescending manner. "you are the bastard who cheated to-"
"Geez, what's all the commotion?" A voice yawned. Hyun whipped around, and Cilian looked over his shoulder. It was a male, who strided into the living room and stopped beside Hyun. His shaggy blond hair covered the front of his face. "Where are the drinks, huh?" he sighed, hitting the back of Hyun's neck. Cilian furrowed his brows in confusion, but heard Ivy gasp beside him. He turned, noticing her bulging eyes glued to the bald guy. Must've been someone important.
"Sorry," Hyun awkwardly chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. "Just let me finish dealing with this guy."
The blond kid turned. He was shorter than Hyun- maybe reaching his shoulders, but looked Cilian up and down rather confidently. He cocked his head to the side, revealing one of his pitch black eyes and smiled. "Oh, this is the guy who kicked your ass in that boxing match," He shrugged. The entire room began to murmur amongst themselves, while Cilian felt his whole body stiffen. This was the absolute worst case scenario. Everyone finding out what he did on the side.
"Tch-" Hyun's ears turned a light shade of red. "He only won because he cheated! That bastard was on steroids or something. I'm telling you," He shouted to the blond. Though, it sounded like he was trying to convince the crowd.
"Shut the hell up! You just can't get over the fact that you lost." Cilian hissed, stepping towards the pair. "Don't get all pissy just because your ego got all bruised." The words sounded like a growl from Cilian, challenging Hyun.
His cool and cocky demeanour shattered. "You wanna go? Let's fuckin' go!" His arm winded back for a punch, and Cilian raised his fists into a defensive stance, ready to block.
But it never came. The blond guy had wrapped his fingers around Hyun's wrist, gripping it. "Now who said you could fight, huh?" He tsked. It was only for a moment, but Cilian felt an immense amount of tension radiate from the blond. It was almost like…dominance. He could even see Hyun battle under it before clicking his tongue and ripping his hand away, averting his gaze. It was like a wolf forcing their under-ling into submission.
Just who the hell was this guy?
"Hey! It's Sam, right?" Ivy stepped forward, her gaze still locked on the blond. "Hm?" He looked at her and flashed a smile.
"And who might you be?"
"Just someone looking to see a good fight." She raised her hand and rubbed her thumb and pointer finger together. "And all good fights have bets, don't they?"
Cilian was taken aback- much like Sam who silently blinked. He looked between Hyun and Cilian, then flashed a smirk.
"Now that does sound a little more interesting." He stepped back while pointing to Hyun. "He'll give…5 thousand dollars if he loses." The entire room gasped. But, Hyun manically grinned. "Now we're talking." He cracked his knuckles.
"And you?" Sam asked, his eyes settling on Cilian. He couldn't see his eyes, but he could feel his gaze. How the hell was he supposed to say he didn't have that cash? His mouth opened to form words, but only Ivy's came out. "If Cilian loses," She spared him a quick glance before clearing her throat, "You can break my hand." The words came out with ease, like a simple offer that required little thought. Cilian whipped around to face her, stunned by her calm expression.
She must've been crazy to gamble something like that, and even crazier to think anyone would agree to it.
"Wow!" Sam broke into laughter, nearly doubling over as his hands rested on his knees. "Now this is a fight I'm looking forward to!" When he straightened up once more, Cilian caught a glimpse of his eyes behind the hair. They shined with a sickening excitement.
"You better win, Hyun," Sam grinned, slapping the male on the back. He flinched and nodded, raising his fists up to his chin. "You got it."
Cilian couldn't believe what was happening, but he felt a light tug on the side of his hoodie and looked to see Ivy staring up. "Please win," She whispered, sending a tingle down his spine. He slowly nodded before turning to face his eager opponent, taking a deep breath. "Fine, let's do it."
All he could hope for was that this ended quickly.
