Adrift In To The Sea Of Memories

The scene that was unfolding before him struck Jackson to his innermost being as the dawn of realization came before him. He truly is now the very last human on the entirety of the continually expanding phenomenon known as the space, where the very essence called the dark matter and the light matter exist in harmony. It is also where the greatest and most tragic events that happened in the past and in the present.

The discovery of the soul and it's accompanying soul skills changed every civilization's way of life the most. It is also what changed humanity and slingshot'd humanity's advancement, just before the Arachnids came and declared a blood feud on all of humanity.

Embers of fires that were quickly extinguished as soon as it runs out of material to burn were spreading all over the United Earth Federation Navy Enterprise Ship. Materials of different origins and of those unknown origins were all but floating in space, seemingly going off into one direction as they flew out, then finally a thunderous explosion could be seen but could not be heard because sound do no travel in the vacuum of space, erupted throughout the ship as it disintegrates into multiple pieces. Until the UEFN Enterprise imploded and blew into multiple smaller parts, that it could no longer be recognized by anyone but debris.

However, Jackson's eyes widened once more when he saw that there was something above from where the speckled dust of what used to be UEFN Enterprise was. It could not be seen properly. However, he was sure that there was something that was floating above the remains of the UEFN. He couldn't fully confirm it, as he believes that there might be an invisibility soul skill in the ranks of the Arachnids. Though he wouldn't be so surprised anymore if the Arachnids used pure technology instead of a soul skill, just like how they humiliated and destroyed humanity inch by inch, without humanity ever identifying if it was pure technology or soul skills or both.

Within the infinitely expanding phenomenon, as far as the horizon could see, called as space. There was the escape pod which Jackson resided in. Drifting endlessly into the space, with one direction at its head, which was the planet before him. To find and use the Heaven's Grail, however, one question lingers before his mind. Fortunately, he put it off to think for another time and gave it up to eventuality.

Jackson finally snapped at himself, to which he steeled himself for what's about to happen next, because if the legends about the Heaven's Grail were true, then that means he could use it to exact revenge against the Arachnids and to revive humanity, and so that finally humanity would no longer be bullied and humiliated in the intergalactic scene. That was what he wished for, and hope to accomplish, unfortunately, it will all be up to chances, if it turns out to the legend to be false, then that's going to be quite unfortunate, if it turns out to be true, then that would be great.

After all, a civilization going extinct or be eradicated would be nothing new in the infinitely expanding phenomenon called as space. Moreover, a race as weak as humanity would make anyone think twice before batting an eye at the extinct race. Which in other words of the elitist society of the intergalactic society, "Nobody Cares." The same as walking on a slightly uneven or rugged road. Everyone would still be going on about their daily lives, albeit with a little inconvenience.

The escape pod was now entering the atmosphere of the planet, friction with the air of the atmosphere and as well as the gravity of the planet pulled with resistance the escape pod into the inner depths of its meadows. Friction was getting more and more intense, as it seemed that there was indeed an atmosphere into this planet and one that was immensely thick at that point.

Sparks of fire were now being lit at the escape pod gets closer and closer into the distant planet, pieces of equipment and parts of the pod were now breaking apart, as it seemed that there was a planet as tough as this, which humanity could not expect as they have been on the war for centuries and with each passing decade, the increase in the quality of equipment and parts of the ship could no longer maintained and in the hardest times they'd have to downgrade it.

Fear was now flooding in the mind of Jackson as it'd be a complete shame if he, the only hope of humanity as a race, would be killed by a mere atmosphere of a planet. Within a few moments of entering the atmosphere of the planet, the pod now were completely stripped its armours, and its now akin to being naked. Fortunately, the pod was now gone in the line of danger, as it now enters the less danger zone.

Jackson was now contemplating if he should jump out with a parachute, and just as he was about to decide, he found that the parachute were all gone. He felt like an idiot, as who the hell would need a parachute in the deepest of hell known as space? Now, he was in the situation that could only be described as, "Quite Unfortunate."

Memories are now flooding through the mind of Jackson, as he remembers of all the things that have happened so far in his thousand five hundred years of his life. As of today, he still was a coward, but no less than that, he was still a smart person, and he knew that there are just some things that need to be done.

Friends, girlfriends, parents, ideals, dreams, passion and convictions were all passing through his mind like a river flowing with harmony filled with fishes called Koi. Just as everything was about to end, he heard a voice, a voice that could just save him?

"Human" An entity of unknown origins spoke.

He attempted to look sideways, however, when he gazed forward, he was suddenly out of the pod and in front of something so grandeur. A man or an entity, to be exact, was sitting atop a humongous chair that could tower over the entire universe. The entity reeks of grandeur and class.

"Human," the entity spoke once again.

He squinted his eyes to see if what he was really seeing was real. However, words just suddenly leaked out of his mouth.

"How..? W-Wha...? Wh...? Are y..?" were the incomplete words that just suddenly came out of Jackson.

"Enough! Human, I am the entity known as the Heaven's Grail! Now kneel before me!" The Heaven's Grail spoke loudly.

It was then that the being known as Jackson finally discovered that there really was something truly superior to the Arachnids. Enormous pressure suddenly dawned upon him as he was forced to kneel with one kneeling and the other resisting.

"Hm?" The Heaven's grail eyes widened in surprise.

"Very well. You seem able enough to resist my pressure. I already know what you want, unfortunately I cannot grant it." The being spoke.

After hearing the statements of the Heavens Grail, Jackson was flabbergasted. He was confused, at the same time at a loss. Weren't the legends meant that the Heaven's Grail is a legendary weapon.

"B-But, how can I save humanity then!? I am all that's left of my kind, and I cannot take it knowing that I am the last of my kind?! J-Just how!" Jackson fearlessly spoke.

Seemingly angered by the inappropriate words of the human being before him. The Heaven's Grail spoke with anger and fury.

"Enough!" the being spoke.

The pressure suddenly intensified as both of Jackson's knees were now kneeling with his head on the ground. Jackson didn't stand a chance, despite all his courage and strength against the all mighty being known as the Heaven's Grail.

"Instead, I'd be giving you a chance! A chance to save your kind from another universe. As for this universe, your kind is already gone and you are one foot away from death itself. So before you die, tell me, do you want to save your own kind from suffering from the same fate from another universe?" The being spoke.

Tears were already falling. However, Jackson was still able to find the strength to respond.

"Yes!" Jackson roared loudly.

The being mouth curved upward.

"Very well! Since you are the first human that stepped here, I'll have you keep all the memories of your entire life as well as the entire knowledge that humanity have accumulated which includes the soul and the soul skills and I'll be adding a few extra knowledge to help you out. Lastly, for your courage and strength for arriving at this far, I'll bestow you my blessing. Unfortunately, to be able to use those, you'd have to do it yourself and make do with the environment that you'd have." The being spoke with joy.

Jackson's eyes widened in surprise as tears of joy replaced the tears of despair. However, as he was about to thank the being, the being interrupted.

"However! The beings knowns to you as the Arachnids is also known as the Void Eaters, they are all but present in all the universe, so I'll have you know, if they discover that your soul is present in another universe, they'd be hell bent on eradicating it. Which is why gather your armies and raise the banner of humanity once more against the Arachnids! Goodluck!" The being spoke.

After the being spoke, the pressure on Jackson disappeared, and as he was about to look up, the pod crashed and exploded into millions of pieces, and from that day onward, humanity truly was now extinct and eradicated in that universe.

In a field of flowers in the middle of a meadow, a man was drinking a tea, when he was interrupted by a woman.

"You didn't have to give him your blessings? What could a lowly race like a human could hope to achieve for?" The woman pouted.

The man, meanwhile, smiled and answered.

"Do not underestimate the tenacity and persistence of humanity. They are one of the most fascinating living things that I have encountered and observed. This will be interesting..."
