"That wasn't part of the agreement"
"I'm sorry ma'am but it's best things are left this way"
"no it's not. I'm at the last month of carrying my child and I don't still know who her father is going to be"
"your child?....may I remind you that the day you signed that contract you lost every claim for this child"
"I know that doctor but you still don't have to remind me how shameless I am constantly"
"I didn't mean it that way ma'am. All I'm trying to say is that, for security reasons it's best you know nothing about the man involved in this.... just in case in the future you decide to get the child back you won't have any clue on how to go about it. You'll receive your remaining balance after he"s delivered"
"it's a girl"
"how're you so sure. The father of the child has refused gender revelation so how do you know?"
"it's my child and my womb"
"fine. If you say so".
>>>>>>>Five years Later>>>>>>
Jane's POV.
"Get me the bucket seems like there's another leak here" I called to my sister. Heaven knew how much I hated rainy days, and our leaking roof made matters worse.
"Here you go" Julie handed me the bucket as she walked to the room.
"and where do you think your going?"
"My room of course" she rolled her eyes
"and I'm supposed to hold four buckets all by myself?"
To prevent the whole house from turning to a beach I had to hold up the buckets to the roof so the water could fall into them.
"I need to study or don't you want me going to "Harvard"?" she made air quotes.
"you won't make air quotes at Harvard cause you're going there so stop making it sound like it's just a fantasy"
"what's the point when we can't even afford it?"
"and who said I can't?.....look all I need from you is to study hard and leave the rest to me okay?"
"I honestly don't see the point but okay" she said and walked away.
Julie was my only family after our parents died, she was my only hope on a better life and I invested everything I got from the four places I worked part-time. We got along really well and I was happy when she decided to go to Harvard, she's smart and got the brains, that was also one of the reasons that made me drop out so I could see her through school.
Julie was going to go to Harvard and graduate with a good certificate so she could wear expensive suits and work in big companies, and give us the life we deserved. With every drop of my blood I'm going to support her.
