The wrong room

Aiden stood in front of the mirror one more time. For the past hour he'd been perfecting his outfit for a fun night out on the town with his best friend Bex. They were going to be celebrating Aiden's eighteenth birthday even though his actual birthday wasn't for a few months. Bex was going to study abroad for a year and, since she'd miss it, she wanted to celebrate early. Aiden had no arguments and they planned to meet up soon.

Aiden loved clothes and he didn't care if they were made for men or women. If he thought it was cute, he'd wear it. So it wasn't out of the ordinary that he was wearing a little black dress with strappy heels. The dress was a skin tight, sleeveless turtleneck that perfectly showed off his slim waist and perky butt. His arms and legs were slim but toned and his smooth porcelain white skin was almost glowing. His slightly wavy white hair was shoulder length and parted on the side . Aiden winked one of his azure blue eyes as he looked at his reflection before turning around and picking up a small cross-body purse.

Inside the bag he kept his phone, wallet, black eyeliner, Chapstick, and a change of underwear. Bex always told him how weird it was that he carried around spare underwear but Aiden didn't care. He would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Wanting to leave as soon as possible, he hurried down the stairs and headed straight for the door but before he reached it someone stood in his way. He rolled his eyes and sighed at the sight of his aunt Lyla. She was a horrible woman and Aiden hated her just as much as she hated him. When Aiden was born, his mother passed away and Lyla took guardianship of Aiden in an attempt to access Aiden's inheritance. However, that wasn't possible and even Aiden wouldn't have access to the money until he turned eighteen. When Lyla realized she'd get nothing out of it, she no longer wanted to keep Aiden but was forced to by her father.

Aiden's grandfather, who he had never met before, added a clause to his will that prevented Lyla from abandoning Aiden. If Lyla wanted her share she couldn't send him away. Aiden had always wished the man had never gotten involved. He was the reason Aiden was stuck with the reincarnation of Cruella Deville and her two demon spawn. They all hated him and treated him like dirt. Aiden learned a long time ago not to care but that didn't mean it wasn't annoying.

"Where do you think you're going dressed like a hooker!?" Lyla shouted. Aiden looked her up and down with an expression that said 'really?'.

"You don't exactly have room to talk." Aiden scoffed. Lyla had a terrible fashion sense and she always seemed to forget that she was almost forty. She was wearing a denim mini-skirt, which was even shorter than Aiden's dress, and a bright pink tank-top. Her makeup was way too heavy and she always used the same red lipstick. She tossed her wavy blonde hair over her shoulder and glared at him.

"How dare you talk to me that way! You better not act like this when we have lunch with my new husband tomorrow!" After shrieking her retort, Lyla turned and stomped away. Aiden grumbled to himself as he left the house. He had completely forgotten that they were all supposed to go have lunch the next day. Aiden wasn't sure what kind of scandalous material Lyla was blackmailing the guy with but she actually married a young, wealthy, and supposedly handsome businessman. Even her own kids didn't see it coming. Lyla didn't tell them his name, what he looked like, or why they suddenly got married but the whole thing was super sketchy. Aiden didn't want to think about it, so he focused on the night ahead.

After riding a bus for twenty minutes, Aiden arrived at the place he was meeting Bex. It was a fancy hotel that a friend of her family owned and they had a speakeasy bar that Bex just happened to have a VIP permanent invite to. She could go in whenever she wanted and bring whoever she wanted with her. Aiden glanced around and finally saw Bex waving from a distance. He waved back and walked over with a smile. Bex ran up and hugged him.

"Aiden! You look amazing! Why are you always so hot?" Bex squealed.

"Thank you. It's a gift." Aiden playfully struck a pose and they both burst into laughter. Bex hooked her arm with Aiden's and pulled him into the hotel.

"Come on, let's go! We're gonna have a blast, birthday-boy!" She led him to an elevator and down to one of the basement levels. They followed a hallway before entering large double doors. They walked into the bar and it seemed more like a nightclub.

"Isn't this a little too hard-core for a hotel, B?" Aiden had to half shout so she could hear him over the music. Bex nodded.

"Usually, yeah. But today is some trust fund kids party so they went all out." Bex pulled him to the dance floor. "Now shut up and dance!" For the next three hours, the two of them danced the night away, taking a break here and there to drink. Every once in a while a guy would approach Aiden but Bex would always shoo them away. "Geez! What kind of scent do you spray on to attract so many flies?" Bex asked after chasing off the seventh guy. Aiden just laughed but his good mood went downhill fast when someone he knew showed up.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Aiden's cousin Spencer glared at him in disgust.

"I could ask you the same thing, you little shit." Bex lashed out. She hated Spencer's guts.

"Keep your trap shut. I wasn't talking to you." Bex pulled out a gold card from her pocket that signified she was a hotel VIP.

"Scram or I'll call security. I wonder if a video of you getting thrown out on your ass would go viral?" Bex waved her phone next to the card. Spencer hesitated but stormed off in the end. Bex and Aiden laughed. The two of them talked and drank for a while before Bex's phone buzzed. When she checked it, her eyes went wide. "Shit! I didn't realize it was so late! Aiden, I'm so sorry but I have to go!"

"No worries. It's not like we planned to stay out all night."

"Yeah, about that…Actually, I know how much you hate being at your house so I got you a room for the night. I was planning to tell you in a better not so rushed way but now I don't have time. Here." Bex took a hotel key card out of her bag and held it out to Aiden.

"No way, B! I can't accept something like that. I know how expensive the rooms here are!" While Aiden and Bex were arguing, a man and woman were walking in their direction, engaged in their own conversation.

"You're sure he's in there?" The red-headed woman asked as she took a hotel key card from the man's hand.

"Yes, I'm sure. We gave him just enough to make him dazed and…interested. After tonight, we'll be that much closer to what we both want."

"Good! I won't let anything get in my way now." Suddenly, the lady crashed into someone and almost fell to the ground. She quickly snatched the key card, that she had dropped, off the floor. "Watch it! Honestly, they let anyone in here these days!" She left in a huff with the man following behind her.

"B!" Aiden rushed over to help Bex off the floor. She stood up picking up the dropped key card along the way. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine but I really have to go. Just take it, okay? Please?" Aiden sighed and took the key card from Bex.

"Okay, you win B. And thank you." Bex smiled.

"That's more like it!" She kissed Aiden on the cheek and headed for the door. "Bye!" Aiden waved. When Bex was gone from view, Aiden chugged the rest of his drink and headed back to the elevator. According to the key card, his room was 3009. As he was standing in the elevator waiting for the third floor, his vision started blurring. He had to hang on to the railing to stay up.

"Oh boy. I guess I drank more than I thought." *Ding* The elevator doors opened and Aiden slowly staggered down the hall to the last room, 3009. He used the key card and opened the door. He stumbled inside and took off his heels as he closed the door behind him. The lights were off and he didn't bother to turn them on before walking to the bed and flopping face first into the soft blankets. He lazily dropped his bag on the floor beside the bed and sighed. It was a really comfortable bed.

The alcohol Aiden had drank that night was taking its toll and Aiden was sleepy and dazed. He could've sworn he heard the shower running but as that didn't make any sense, he ignored it. It wasn't until he heard the bathroom door open that he realized it wasn't his drunken imagination and there really was someone else in the room. Aiden quickly sat up and turned on the bedside lamp. He had moved too quickly so it took a moment to focus his eyes. However, when he did, Aiden's jaw dropped.

Standing in front of him, with nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist, was the most handsome man Aiden had ever seen in his life. Long black hair cascaded over the man's broad shoulders and down to the middle of his back. Water droplets slid down his skin and over his many muscles. Aiden's wide eyes followed a drop as it fell across the man's eight pack abs and down his v-cut before disappearing into the towel just above a spot that now piqued Aiden's curiosity.

Snapping out of his muscle induced daze, Aiden glanced up at the man's face. Fierce, steel gray eyes stared back at him but their focus was slightly off. His seemingly perfectly proportioned face with his straight nose, thin lips, and strong jawline could have been sculpted by Michelangelo himself. He was absolutely stunning and Aiden had to check to make sure he wasn't drooling.

They both stared at each other in silence for a few moments before Aiden finally asked the questions that were on both their minds.

"Who are you? Why are you in my room?" The man kept staring at Aiden. He looked confused and shook his head.

"...My room." The man only managed to mumble a short reply but his deep voice sent a shiver down Aiden's spine. Before Aiden could process what he said, the man walked straight over to the bed and sat down on the opposite side of Aiden. Aiden blinked.

"Oi! What are you…!" Aiden gasped when the man grabbed his wrist and pulled him across the bed. A strong arm wrapped around his waist and Aiden landed on the man's lap. He was momentarily stunned into silence when he looked up and the man's face was only a few inches from his own. He blushed and looked away. It really was too much to see someone that handsome from so close. Aiden felt his heartbeat speed up. "W-What are you doing?" Aiden's voice came out as a whisper. The man didn't reply and instead grabbed Aiden's chin and turned his face back towards him. Aiden's mind went blank when he felt the man's lips press firmly against his own.
