Chapter thirty three

'What's going on?' The girl thought. She didn't understand what was happening.

Above her head, the sun was showing over the tip of the high trees, it meant it was nearly middle of the day.

The young lady watched the way and thought, 'It will take me until evening to arrive at home.'

Though it was hard, she had no choice but to walk by her feet back home.

Without delay, Caihong moved her legs following the mark of the cart down the hill. She walked without stopping but it seemed she could not approach its foot soon. The point that the cart dropped her was at the middle of the hill. It took several minutes for the wagon to arrive, as for using the feet, it should be an hour.

Actually, the girl did not mind walking far. What she worried about was her safety. Both sides along the road she was walking on were the forests. Here, only the sound of wind and the sound of big body birds could be heard. Caihong felt a chill over her arms, back and legs. In her belly, there were a lot of hits and they kept beating in a row.

The poor girly tried to tell herself to be brave, "I will be fine. I will arrive soon."

Still the fear inside did not decrease but it turned to level up. Caihong kept strengthening herself.

"Mother, please look after your daughter."

She repeated this sentence nonstop and her mind thought about her mother.

It did not know if it was really her mother's power or what. While she was in a fright, someone appeared at a distance before her.

"Wu Lantain!"

Worry and fear suddenly dismissed and her face showed big content. No wait, she ran her feet to the older lassie forgetting that the road she was on was a slope, it was slippery, it was not suitable for running, and immediately she lost her foot and slid. At that time, the hawk eyes of the elder female noticed the younger girl was meeting a danger. She quickly jumped from her spot, like a jumping lion, to catch the girl's hand and hold her back and raise her up.

"Are you fine?" Lantian asked. Her voice showed that she was worried.

"I'm fine." Caihong wagged her head. Though her face was pale and her heart was jumping a little bit fast. Last moment was really dangerous. If the elderly woman did not catch her on time, she would fall and roll down until she reached the bottom of the hill.

"Why do you come here?"

"I come to take the persimmon."

Hearing it Lantian knotted her eyebrows, "Persimmon? Here?"

Caihong nodded her head.

"Who tells you there is a persimmon on this hill?"

The younger woman didn't say a word and made her eyes low. She didn't want to mention matters in her family.

"You were lied to." Lantian giggled. "Naive."

"Do you think you are smart?" Caihong started irritatingly staring at Wu's daughter. She did not care even if she had helped her; she did not like that she called her naive.

"I don't want to argue with you," Lantian claimed. "Let's find a shelter. It's going to rain soon."

"Rain?" Caihong looked her head up. "The sky does not have any dark clouds and it is not the rainy season. How can it rain?"

"The weather on the mountain is not permanent. Come on," Lantian said, then grabbed the wrist of the girly wishing to pull her away, but the girl refused to walk.

"Though it's truly going to rain, I'm going home," Caihong said, at the same time she was trying to pull her wrist but Lantian didn't let her wrist go; she held it tightly.

"Until you arrive home, your body is soaked with the rain already," she claimed. "Consider you are accompanying me, then you have only four days left to pay me. Hurry up."

In fact, the young lassie did not care about the benefit that she was gaining, but because she saw Lantian was serious, she allowed her to hold her hand and led her.

About two hundred meters away, there was a small hut. Lantian brought the little woman to it. Just as they reached inside the cabin, the rain dropped.
