Clue

Luffy and the others were still at Kelly's tavern.

"Why do the bad guys keep blowing up my businesses?!"

Kelly fell to her knees and cried.

"So what do we do now?"

Caria and the others ignored her and started planning their next steps.

"Someone is playing with us, so why not play along?"

"Because it could be dangerous, Astrid. We don't know what lengths they're willing to go to play their game."

Frantz took out a Transponder Snail.

"The best course of action would be to get help from the Revolutionary Army."

The snail started ringing for a few seconds before cutting off.

"However, it seems someone is jamming the signal to our secret line."

He put the snail in his pocket.

"Then we're on our own."

Luka sighed.

"We're still here."

Luffy spoke up and wrapped his arms around Hancock's shoulder. Her body froze up.

"You have me, Hancock, and her crew. Right, Hancock?"

"Y-Yeah. We're here to help."

Her eyes were spirals.

"Hancock, where's the rest of your crew?"

Caria asked the panicking Hancock.

"There in the surrounding waters. However, I recommend calling them only when we need them."

"I agree. If a pirate crew shows up now, it will cause chaos."

Frantz placed his crystal hand on the ground.

"What are you doing?"

Jessie asked. Needle–sized crystals spread out across the entire area.

"Checking for more traps....It looks like nothing is hidden underground."

He moved his head and an arrow stabbed in the wall behind him. He calmly stood up.

"Did anybody get that?"

Everyone shook their heads.

"I see...The singular presence is a big issue. We need to solve it."

"That won't be possible."

They turned their heads and saw a familiar face.

"Connor?"

The crew moved from the town and was at the Karros Ranch.

"We meet again, Boa Hancock and Strawhat Luffy."

Connor greeted the disguised Hancock and Luffy.

"Know him, Hancock?"

"I have never seen this man in my life."

Connor's body shook when he heard their words.

"You guys fought him before you came to the island."

Caria whispered in Hancock's ear.

"I didn't fight anybody before I came here other than Sea Kings."

Hancock grew even more confused.

"You used me to find the island!"

"Oh, but I didn't fight you. A fight would imply I had to try. I captured you without any effort."

"I swear if I was only stronger...."

Connor shook his fists.

"Man, you led two different sets of pirates to the island days apart?"

Jessie looked at Connor with disappointment.

"Shut up, this isn't about me! It's about this!"

Connor took out an envelope.

"What's that?"

Luka asked while petting a Karros.

"It's a letter from Felix."

"What?!"

Everyone surrounded Connor.

"When did he give you this?"

Frantz frantically asked.

"Two days ago. He said only to read it if the worst-case scenario has occurred. He didn't specify what the worst-case scenario was, but it has to be the situation we're in."

Connor opened the envelope and the Supreme Five rushed to see what it said. The moment they looked at the paper confusion appeared on their face. Hancock and Luffy looked to see what it was.

"La Parca."

Hancock looked at the Supreme Five members.

"What does that mean?"

"Grim Reaper..."

Luka mumbled absent-mindedly.

"Ugh!"

He held his head and groaned.

"Luka, are you okay?"

Jessie asked.

"Yeah, I guess the stress is getting to me."

He walked away.

"I'm gonna lie down for a bit."

"Alright, take it easy."

Everyone turned their attention back to the letter.

"According to Luka, it means Grim Reaper. Do you think it's the name of Tate's killer?"

Caria looked at everyone's faces as she asked the question.

"If it is the name of the killer, Felix knew Tate was going to die."

Frantz frowned.

"Then he let Tate die? Would he really do that?"

Jessie was doubtful.

"He probably couldn't prevent it."

Hancock chimed in.

"He couldn't prevent it because something was binding him from talking. It might still be binding him now."

She took the letter from Caria.

"Since he's incapable of talking he left a note to help you guys figure out what was going on. For example, a name or...."

She lifted the paper towards the sun. A grin appeared on her face.

"Or a map."

Everyone looked and saw a map of the island with a certain section circled.

"Amazing! How did you know?!"

Jessie's eyes lit up when he looked at Hancock.

"It's a tactic the Marines tend to use when they want to pass on information. Since you guys said he was a World Government agent, I figure he would do the same."

Hancock returned the letter to Connor.

"Wow, Hancock! You're really smart!"

Hancock's body stiffened when she heard Luffy's praise.

"I-It was nothing."

She hid her red face from Luffy. Everybody else was looking at the map hidden in the letter.

"There's a place circled here."

Astrid pointed at a spot on the map.

"This is....The Orphanage?"

Luka sprung up.

"The orphanage? What about it?"

He got to his feet and walked over to the rest.

"Now that I think about it, the Sheriff made the orphanage..."

Frantz mumbled.

"Do you think the clue we're searching for is at the orphanage?"

"No!"

Luka's shout drew everyone's attention.

"Not the orphanage....We need to leave those kids out of it!"

Luka's fist shook vigorously.

"I understand what you're saying Luka, but the clue Felix left for us is pointing towards it. We can't just ignore it."

Frantz placed his hand on Luka's shoulder.

"Those kids have been through enough..."

"True, but we need to know the truth for everyone's sake."

Luka clenched his fists and reluctantly nodded his head. Jessie nodded.

"Alright, let's check the orphanage!"

They all went to the orphanage in search of answers.

"Luka!"

The moment they entered the orphanage grounds they were swarmed by children.

"Is it true the Mayor was killed?"

"They're saying the Director did it!"

"I know we call him a demon, but he's actually kind!"

"Yeah, there's no way he did it, right?!"

They were bombarded with questions.

"Calm down, you brats. We're here to find the truth."

Luka playfully hit them on the head to calm them down. Caria approached them.

"We're going to be busy for a bit. Could you guys go back to your dorms with your instructors?"

The children nodded and looked at Luka one last time.

"Be careful, Luka."

"Who are you guys worrying about? I'll be fine."

The children nodded and left with some instructors.

"Let's hurry up and look for what Felix left behind, so we can leave here."

Luka hurried towards the main building while everyone followed behind him.

"If the director was going to leave behind a clue, it would be in his office."

Luka said as they entered the building.

"Wouldn't that be too obvious?"

Astrid asked.

"There's a hidden compartment only the two of us know about. If it's anywhere it's there."

They climbed the stairs and started walking towards the office.

"Hancock, could you continuously use your Future Sight in case we end up in a trap?"

Frantz asked Hancock while trying his best to not sound demanding.

"I'm already doing it."

Hancock answered with a scuff.

(It's exhausting using Future Sight like this...)

She sighed but kept a serious face. They reached the office and opened the door without hesitation. They entered and Luka quickly flipped over the desk. He broke off one of the legs and a key fell on the ground. He then quickly punched a wall. It burst open and a safe appeared. He put in the key and opened the safe. Inside was another envelope. Luka reached inside and took it out. Everyone gathered around him as he opened it.

"A locket?"

Inside the envelope was a silver locket. Luka took out the locket and opened it. His eyes widened. Inside was the word, BOOM.

"?!"

Hancock's eyes flashed red.

"Shit!"

She grabbed Luffy and shouted-

"This place is gonna--"

Her words were cut off by a thundering noise followed by flames engulfing the room.

*BOOM*

The building was swallowed up by a devastating explosion. Flames spread across the orphanage grounds as a chain of explosions erupted.

"Whew~!"

Someone whistled as the explosions reflected in their eyes.

"La Parca really doesn't hold back."

They held a picture in their hand.

"Felix was really trying to screw us over with this. He's pretty serious about this rebelling phase."

They tore the picture and scattered it in the air.

"Well, it works better for me. The angrier they get the more fun the game."

They grinned while the explosions continued. They started moving their hands like a maestro conducting an orchestra of carnage.

"I always wanted to do this."

They laughed and pointed in one direction. An explosion erupted. They pointed in a different direction and another explosion erupted.

"I can see why comic book villains do this, it's fun."

Their laughter mixed the explosions and created a melody of madness.

"Now then, let the games begin."
