Afterthoughts & Announcement

Sup, Kodyak here. So Operation Love Boat has come to an end and it took less than 6 months which is far better than Island For Two which took 6 years lol. So anyway, I want to talk about the story for a bit. I originally wrote this story because I was bored and also because I wanted to test my writing skills a bit by attempting to write a story which could fit in the original story. Did I succeed in doing that? I think I did since I was satisfied with the majority of the story.

Oh, I want to address something. This story was merely a writing exercise for me. If I didn't write the story how I did, I wouldn't have written it in the first place. So I know some of you didn't appreciate me focusing on the OCs and probably skipped through their parts, but I expected that to happen and is completely fine with that. Since this story was more for me than anybody else.

Speaking of the OCs, I think I did a good job with them especially the villain Emilio who I thought was a captivating character and antagonist. Here's a secret, I originally planned to kill off the entire island leaving Jessie, Astrid, Caria, and Franz who would die from injuries they got from fighting Luka, who they killed. So yeah, I'm a pretty fucked up writer. 

Why didn't I kill them off? No reason, just a whim. Plus I thought it would be a better ending.

Oh, in case you didn't know I don't plan stories ahead. Meaning I don't plot stories or anything. I just have a vague idea of a story and just write. How can do I do this? I have no idea lol. I just type and the story moves on its own. 

I did put some thoughts in the OCs like their names that all have special meanings relating their characters but I won't bore you with that. Let's get to the real reason y'all are here.

Yes, I'm doing a part 3! 

Or more like a Part 2.5? So here's the thing, I didn't plan on doing another Luffy x Hancock story. I was going to write either a Sabo x Koala story or maybe a Sanji X Nami or a Robin x Zoro. Hell, even a Zoro X Perona fanfic. I don't really ship any of these but I thought those who do could use more stories to consume. I changed my mind because....TBH I don't know. I just thought why not just turn this into a trilogy for the fun of it? So, immediately thought of the movie Stampede and the fillers leading to it, that's because that's where we see Luffy and Hancock interact after the timeskip. I decided not to use the fillers because I was too lazy to rewatch them lol. So the story is based around Stampede. What happens before the Pirate Festival and what happened during before the big fight in the movie.

Oh, yeah. I've already written 11 chapters for this story so it's well under its way already. It won't be a long story, if it reaches 20 chapters I would be surprised. Not that I can't make it longer, I just want to make it short and enjoyable like the first story. It might be past that though, idk yet because I don't plan stories like I said I just write.

The overall feel of the story will be closer to Island For Two than this one. Just pure Hancock madness; especially when she interacts with certain characters like Bartolomeo because everybody was in this movie so I have a big cast to work with. Of course, there will be romance with Luffy and Hancock, especially since they've reached a certain point in their relationship.

If I had to describe this story in one word it would be Unhinged. I'm just messing around and trying to have fun like the first story but up a notch. So I think everyone will have a good time. Anyway, the links below:
