For the second round a mage needed to use a magic which would be able to impress the audience. The complexity or the quality of the spell did not matter. What they needed was a spell that looked most impressive, that's all. This was basically a magic demonstration that happened in the previous young mage's magic competition but there was a twist.
This time around there would be no judges to rate their magic. It would be the audience themselves who would be the judges. All the audiences who had bought the tickets for the day were given a magic item. Using this item, one would be able to rate the performance of a mage and all that given score would be calculated and an average result would be given. That would be the final score of a competitor.
