After school Sage walked home, she wanted to know every street as possible. The area had shops and few supermarkets, because the mall was a few miles.
Boys were busy skating in the streets and laughing, she really missed to have a friend. Someone to talk to or laugh with. Speaking about laughing she saw an old building with faded paint and she walked in.
There sat an old man in the corner, he looked up and saw her walk towards him, "can I help you?" he looked like he was in his sixties or seventies.
"Is this an art gallery?" she walked around looking at the old art." The man limped to her,
"What do you think? Now go home. Get out of here" now that's rude.
"Don't you think it's rude to chase a customer, old man?" she spat still walking around. The man was fuming mad after being identified old. Who wanted to be reminded that they were old? The man jumped to attack her but she had already seen it beforehand.
Bringing her fists forth she blocked the attack, "damn old man is made out concrete?" But she was answered with another blow on her stomach, and I swear her stomach moved to her back.
"Geez old man goes slowly on this granddaughter of yours," he man just scoffed and sat back, "You know you still want me here tomorrow."
"NOPE! Take your lonely life somewhere else," Sage rubbed her stomach which hurt like hell, but she wouldn't let this old man win.
"I'm lonely your lonely that make's two of us don't you think?" sage smiled trying to negotiate,
"I'm not having this talk with you, leave before I teach you a lesson." Sage just laughed and left after she left the man's face lit up. It was since someone noticed his shop.
The following day Sage walked in Simona skimming on how she was going to humiliate her in front of everyone, too bad she heard everything.
Everyone took their place placing phones ready to record, the door opened but the person who came in was not Sage but the principle. The poor lady was washed clean with the red paint, next Sage walked in putting her middle fingers out while smirking.
Simona and her minions served detention for the whole week. Which left Sage peaceful but she didn't let her guard down. She walked in the cafeteria served her food and sat at her usual table at the corner.
Someone's shadow towered her and she looked up, and there stood some ponytail cute girl. "You lost or something?" the girl looked offended but still smiled.
"I'm here to be friends with you." Sage continued munching on her food and ignored her, not to be rude or something her being with friends now was risking she never wanted someone going through what she went through.
"No thanks take your offer somewhere else." She stood taking her tray and walked passed her. The poor girl looked like she was going to cry. Sage had no choice and took her hand taking her outside.
"Look, you don't want to been seen with me, you'll get in trouble with that Simona girl, and the last thing I want is a burden." Sage made herself clear. But the girl was not buying it, which made Sage sign.
"She'll never touch me, I promise." She told. "I looks cool being friends with you, don't you see how you shut her up." She smiled so widely like and imagined. This child was too cute to be in high school most of all senior year.
"Ok, do I have a choice?" she laughed.
"Nope, you don't"
