CHAPTER 22

It's been a week since the party and there was an awkward silence between Sage and Maeve and that didn't stop the others from hanging out with Sage,

"You guys are still not talking?" Khalil joined Sage in her kitchen. Since Sage moved out of the Landon's mansion the girls always hanged out at her house.

"I don't understand her; she's changed a lot lately." Khalil nodded in agreement. "Where's Agatha, I've not seen her since the party, is everyone going MIA"

Sage opened the fridge and took out a can of milk and gave it to Khalil who served it to the two glasses on the table. They sat opposite each other and enjoyed Sally's home baked muffins.

"Ah… this muffin is heaven, I think I should move in with you" Khalil sang and Sage laughed almost chocking.

"Year you should, it boring her… my mom is not home most times." She placed her empty glass on the wood table. "Would you imagine that this table has been her for almost twenty years?"

Khalil eyes went wide, "say what,"

"Aha!" She smiled looking around the small kitchen.

"You are so lucky you've got a mom who loves you." Sage never told any of them about her past, everyone hides secrets and has a dark side. "I've never had the courage to tell my parents that I'm gay," He looked at his legs, and Sage brought out her hand and held his hand to show that she supported him.

"You'll have to tell them eventually, it's better that hearing it from someone else." Khalil agreed taking the two glasses and placing them in the sink.

"Khalil if you ever need someone I'll always be here for you," After the party the two got close because they like the same things. Sage moved and hugged Khalil who was the same height as her.

"So what are we going to do today, I mean we'll home alone."

"I don't know maybe watch a movie or go out for a walk." Yes since Sage's home was near school Khalil moved in with her, his parents allowed it.

"I know let me take you to a place you'll like." The two posed for a selfie and Khalil posted it in his insta.

....

Agatha walked in her house and it was the same quiet house. It's not that there were no people in fact her family consisted of her parent Mr and Mrs Mason, an elder sister Chloe who was twenty and a young brother Dominic who was ten.

She placed her bag on the chair and walked in the kitchen and drank water. Her mom just looked at her and signed, she knew that Agatha had sneaked out that day and attended a party but her dad didn't.

She never got the chances to go to parties or rather no one invited her. Why? She is from a low class family, her mom is a kindergarten teacher and her dad owned an old poultry farm.

How are they getting through life? Chloe her sister works secretly at a night club and Agatha worked a part time job in an old library and that's how she heard about Charleston Royal school giving out scholarships and applied.

None of her friends knew where she lived and had no intention of introducing her rich friends to her poor family. She was ashamed of her family.
