Elaina's POV

I went into the old, dark library, and it gave me chills. The air smelled like old books, and I knew this place held secrets. When I turned on the lights by the door, they flickered and buzzed with electricity. My heart was pounding while I waited for them to settle down and when it did, I started looking around.

There were shelves all over the place, filled with books. Each book had heavy leather covers and metal clasps. But the one that caught my eye was an open book on a table in the middle of the room.

It felt like someone had left it there just for me to see. I walked over to the table, and the wooden floor creaked as I did. The open pages unveiled a world I had never imagined, describing a bloodsucking creature called a vampire.
