The Suspect

Zhao was in his early forties, but he looked much older than Lily's mother, probably due to the stress from his career, making him appear serious and weathered.

"You're back," Lily's mother stood up to greet her husband, taking the briefcase from his hand. She turned to Wenjay and introduced, "This is my husband, Wankin Zhao."

Upon seeing Wenjay in the living room, Zhao asked with confusion, "Who is this?"

"This is Wenjay," Lily's mother replied, "The young man I told you about yesterday, the one who saved Shawdow."

"Oh, hello," Zhao nodded at Wenjay, his expression indifferent, not showing the usual admiration or surprise. He then asked his wife, "Is dinner ready? I left my experiment running and need to go back to work soon."

"I'll get on it," Lily's mother said apologetically, "I was playing with the kids this afternoon and then we had a guest..."

"Just make something simple," Zhao interrupted, "I'm in a hurry. The sooner I eat, the sooner I can return to the lab."
