Code Black!
Code Black!
Code Black!
"Quack! No! No! How could this happen?" A duck, appearing to be 3 meters in height and 1 meter in width and all white, appeared to be different from white and instead appeared as the light that would illuminate any darkness. Dressed in formal attire and kneeling on the ground, he looked at a large screen with horror and anguish.
An alarm reverberated through the expansive chamber. Countless screens displayed the unfolding scene of a colossal white hole erupting, its sheer magnitude captivating the attention of those present. The multitude of screens, numbering in the billions, captured every angle of this cataclysmic event and not a single angle was left unturned.
The aftermath of the white hole's eruption left behind a trail of unfathomable devastation, yet it was not the destruction alone that instilled fear within the room's occupants.
"Quack! How could such a system successfully locate a compatible host?" The duck forcefully struck his head against the ground, a sudden realization of the harrowing truth washing over him.
He rose to his feet with a newfound urgency and bellowed as if possessed by an unseen force.
"Quack! Listen, everyone!" The vast expanse of the chamber, adorned with an array of screens, served as a means to observe the white hole's movements. The duck's thunderous voice resounded, reaching every corner of the space.
His voice carried the weight of authority as he demanded answers. "Quack! Has anyone managed to trace the coordinates of the System's destination? What is the System Frequency? What is its energy level? I require any available data!"
"Sir, the energy distortion at such levels is unparalleled, eradicating all visual records and rendering any data unattainable," a man with fiery red hair and featureless countenance promptly replied.
"Quack! Dammit!" Duck turned and forcefully slammed his duckly hand onto the large table.
'Not even I could perceive any trace of this system's emergence. We were blindsided until all our signals were abruptly cut off. This is a monumental failure; our efforts will be in vain if we cannot locate this system. It's a Radiant-ranked system, the most brilliantly ranked system ever to be born. We must track it down; we will leave no corner of the universe unsearched.'
He pivoted, locking eyes with everyone present, and began speaking with a composed yet forceful tone, ensuring his voice carried to every nook of the expansive space.
"Quack! Impart the code Black to every member of the Universal System Bureau. Provide them with every detail regarding this incident and instruct them to scour every corner of the universe in search of the location of that Radiant-ranked system.
Instruct all to be vigilant for signs of extraordinary or unusual events in the place they search, as our past data indicates that such systems often bestow remarkable and extraordinary missions that could lead to events that couldn't be fathomed by normal means."
Hearing his voice, everyone started their work immediately.
Duck stood before a black system interface in front of him. His gaze fixated on the interface; he posed a question within his mind: 'Who could possibly possess the resonance to match such a system's frequency?'
A response swiftly materialized in his thoughts: 'Whoever they may be, one thing is certain—they possess incredible capabilities. We must not underestimate them without ample preparation. However, we cannot afford any delays in locating them, as apprehending them would become even more arduous.' After a pause the voice continued again,' I wonder what kind of grand first mission this esteemed system would bestow?'
Duck nodded in agreement, his voice resonating with anticipation. "Quack! Indeed, I wonder too, what extraordinary first mission would it be?"

Allen's eyes were twitching, and very violently at that.
His upper teeth were gnashing his lower lips hard, and it looked like at any moment the nerves of his forehead would burst open.
"Did you like the perfect mission, master?" echoed a gleeful and childlike voice, audible only to Allen.
"What you say, master? Isn't this mission perfection personified? It's the perfect mission you would need to become calm under extreme pressure. The epitome of a perfect mission, would I call it, if you will?" continued the jubilant voice, emanating from the right of Allen.
Suppressing his anger and many different untold and unspoken emotions, he slowly turned and looked at the source of the voice. Even if he had a thousand lives, he didn't want to believe what he was witnessing because the owner of this voice was a palm-sized girl.
Or at least her gender was female. With seafoam-coloured hairs flowed down like gentle waves, complementing her lime-coloured eyes that held a glimmer of curiosity, with transparent mint-coloured wings fluttering gracefully from her back.
With a round and adorable face, she radiated all innocence. Adorned in a flowing garment that appeared to be woven from nature's fabric, she wore hues of ocean blue and forest greens, adorned with delicate patterns.
And if his memories served him right, this palm-sized girl looked like something he had seen in fiction in his previous life.
A spirit.
And she even introduced herself as the system's spirit.
Basically, she was part of the collector system that he possessed, and then she materialized herself, and she was born as the system spirit, but only he could see her, as only he was soul bound with her.
"Bastard!" Allen hissed under his breath, his words barely audible.
"I appreciate your generous praise, master," she replied, her radiant smile illuminating her small, enchanting face even further.
Allen returned his attention to the front and tried to calm himself because he was currently standing beside many outer court disciples who were all watching the fierce battles between the inner court disciples of their sect and those from the Heavenly Thunder Sect.
Or at least it appeared to be fierce, but the results were saying else wise.
While the Heavenly Aquaflame Sect was hosting this competition, there was no joy among the disciples as they observed the clashes unfolding before them. So far, the inner court disciples of the Heavenly Aquaflame Sect had yet to secure a single victory against their counterparts from the Heavenly Thunder Sect.
It was a completely one-sided slaughter from the start of the competition, not a single victory.
The only people who were now enjoying this competition were the disciples of the Heavenly Thunder Sect. The only cheers and laughter heard in the massive martial hall were from the disciples of the Heavenly Thunder Sect, and all the disciples of the Heavenly Aquaflame Sect had gloomy expressions and clenched hands. The sole thought consuming their minds was to claim at least one victory in the competition.
Everyone from the Heavenly Aquaflame Sect wore a gloomy expression due to their losses in the competition, but one individual was gloomy for an entirely different reason.
Allen was gloomy and his eyes would shake every time he glanced at the mission hoping for it to be his imagination but alas, imagination and reality often clashed, and his melancholy deepened further because of the presence of the small spirit girl sitting on his right shoulder, who would occasionally tell him how perfect the mission she assigned him was.
'God, if you are there, then tell me why this discrimination is against me. Huh! What wrong did I do? Or did I commit some unforgivable atrocities so that you had to give me such a system?
Who the fuck would say my first mission was extraordinary?
God, such pranks are even low by the standards of a devil.'
