Back to the Cultivation World (5)

Carl, Kell, and Virat—all three of them stood in a trance-like state, an observation that I made and speculated upon. This seemed to be the moment when they were being infused with information about the system.

I was from Earth. They were not, so the concept of the system was unfamiliar to these three individuals, who were not native to Earth and were encountering the term "System" for the first time.

I did not stand on ceremony and wait for them to open their eyes; rather, I opened my system interface to look for the new information that the friend servant function had provided about my new friend servants.

I looked at the three system panels in front of me; all three panels showed me the interface for the friend servant function for my first three friend servants.

I looked at all three of the interfaces intently, trying to understand what each meant.

Name and cultivation were the easiest to understand, and the servant category would have been too, but the words at the end that mentioned level 1 caught my attention.

'The hell, even this has levels!' I mused.

I then looked at the innate potential section.

'Master, that's the system rating of their innate potential and hidden potential; it starts with F being the lowest and SSS being the highest.' I then heard Ria's telepathic voice in my head; she was living in her system house right now.

Nod. Nod.

I nodded after I understood the rating done by the system.

I looked at the end of the ratings of innate potential; there was a circle with a right arrow symbol. I tapped on the symbol, and another system interface on top of Kell's panel appeared.

'Oh!'

While returning from the super earth and after that, I and Ria had an hour-long conversation that mostly consisted of cultivation and aspects related to that, and what I was seeing in front of me were the things I had understood this morning in that hour-long conversation.

I understood all of the terms written in the Innate Potential section. I knew what all of them meant, what their significance was, and how massively impactful they were on one's cultivation journey.

'So, Innate Potential contains all of the innate talents a cultivator could be born with from the start.'

Though I don't think anyone would have been born with all of these heaven-defying innate talents.

Innate Potential was something that an individual was born with and couldn't be obtained.

At least for others, not for me.

It was the strongest head start for the geniuses in cultivation. This allowed them to skyrocket their Cultivation and leave the norms, like average cultivators, in the dust.

What others took decades to cultivate, they could cultivate in just a few years or even months. This even allowed them to explore other professions in cultivation like alchemy, arrays, runes, talismans, etc.

'So, he has a second-grade fire elemental spirit root. Oright.'

Spirit Root was the fundamental aspect that a mortal had that let them know they could cultivate.

What did this mean?

This was the most important and fundamental aspect that one required to be a cultivator, and if one didn't have this, one couldn't cultivate.

They were divided into five grades. Grade one was the highest, and grade five was the lowest.

There were special grade spirit roots too but that was not my concern right now.

However, what did this indicate?

Grade five being the lowest meant one would be able to gather spiritual energy or qi very slowly in comparison to an individual having grade one spirit root if they cultivated, and this also affected their comprehension of cultivation techniques.

A grade one and grade five spirit root cultivator would take different amounts of time to comprehend the same cultivation technique; a grade one spirit root cultivator could comprehend a cultivation or combat technique miles faster than a grade five spirit root cultivator.

After the division of the spirit Root into grades, it was then divided into the elemental affinity one was born with, and Kell had fire element affinity, which meant he could cultivate fire element combat technique faster than other elements.

'No spirit root hair, pulse, or bone, and even no innate physique. That's alright too.'

Why was this okay even though the innate potential was so important?

First of all, from what it looked until now, the system was harsh in its evaluation; it was taking all five of the innate potentials as a whole and rating them, but in reality, having a second-grade fire spirit root was more than enough to comprehend many cultivation and combat techniques.

However, my calm regarding their innate potential was also influenced by the fact that I had a system that could collect anything, which gave me a sense of calm.

'I'll simply collect innate talents for them and myself too.'

I then opened Virat's innate potential section, as both Kell and Virat had the same rating in the innate potential section.

There was nothing new to see here except that Virat had an affinity for the wind element, and so I then moved on to my highest innate potential rated friend, Carl.

A guy who smelled of future trouble to me.
