Chapter 2

After talking to Steve, I went to my room to change into the dress that Nancy (my stylist) left for me. It was probably a long sea-green frock with full sleeves of course since I kind of have a phobia of wearing full sleeves well I was just kidding but, to be honest, I hate wearing half sleeves and I have never worn one since birth even if it was freaking hot, I don’t care.

I wore the dress and started walking towards my uncle Gratiano’s house. Um, so actually since my Grandpa is the former King of Rome, we live in a castle. So, the castle is like when you enter a gate there is a really big garden with jogging tracks and on a side, there is a kind of road which leads to the main door of the castle the vehicles used on that road are different so the vehicles from outside can’t in there.

When you enter the castle there is a really big round shape space. Now there are 4 doors.

The first door on the right leads to Uncle Gratiano’s house. He is my father’s younger brother. He is not at all interested in being the next king because he always wanted to be a cardiologist. He owns 100 hospitals in Rome and is considered one of the best cardiologists. Aunt Lisa is a psychiatrist so she also helps her uncle in hospitals. They have a daughter Mary and a son Addy. Mary is 23 years old; she is a successful writer. She is engaged to the prince of Spain, Braxton Henry. Well, only a week is left before her marriage. Addy is 22 years old and is also a cardiologist, he has taken over 30 hospitals until now and will take over all when he will be 25 years old.

My Grandpa and Grandma also live with Uncle Gratiano. My Grandpa is King Jones and my Grandma is Queen Ellen. My Grandpa and Grandma are the closest to me and I share every single thing with them. Despite being busy, they still listen to every detail of my day. They treat me like a princess and I must say they are extra protective of me because I am the youngest child of the whole family.

Now the first door on the left leads to my house. My father, Lewis Jones, the King-to-be, is working with Grandpa since he is going to take over soon. My mother but stepmother, Olivia Lewis, is a well-known artist and the Queen-to-be. My twin brother, Steve is 20 years old and is an accountant. He takes care of all the accounts problems of Uncle’s hospitals. I as Jennifer Lewis am a princess but, as Loretta Harvey, I am a rising singer and a lawyer-to-be. I am 21 years old but well until now only I know that I am 21 because everyone is told that I am Steve’s twin so yeah in that case I am 20 years old. Umm, you might be wondering about how in the World I have two identities; I will tell you but not right now or Addy will eat all the pancakes.

I enter the door next to Uncle’s house because that place is the family living room and also the family dining room. After all, it’s a tradition to eat meals with the whole family. So, as I enter the room, I am hugged by Mary and she shouts, “I am so damn happy that you are staying for a whole week just for my wedding!!!” She squeezes me more. Oh gosh, I can’t even breathe. “Mary, I don’t think I will stay if you keep this hugging thing up” I replied in a soft voice. Mary finally releases me from the hug pouting like a child.

Now I went to the kitchen directly and not to my surprise the pancake place wasn’t there. I ran to Addy shouting, “Save pancakes for me too.” But when I reached only 1 pancake was left and he was going to put it in his mouth not until I used my magic with my eyes and the pancake came flying to me and I ate it. Addy shot me a ‘now you see’ look and went to Grandpa and here I knew that if he will complain about my magic, Grandpa will be disappointed in me so before he could say something, I ran to him and spoke, “You know Addy, I and Steve have planned to go fishing tomorrow. Would you like to join us?” Addy hugged me and shouted, “Yes! I wanted to go fishing so badly, but Dad won’t give permission.” I knew fishing would work and it did. I don’t know what’s with boys and fishing, but it makes things easier for me. After this Addy went to Steve and they started talking about who knows what.

Now Grandpa and Grandma were watching me with a ‘what was that’ expression and asked, “When did you take our permission baby?” I smiled innocently and sat on Grandpa’s lap and sweetly said, “You know after I turned 3 this is my first time spending the whole week in Castle so I wanted to go fishing. You know only if you allow or I will cancel the plan.” Now I knew they can’t tell me no. I just know how to ask for something from them. It’s so easy for me. Grandpa smiled and kissed me on my forehead and said, “Okay darling, but not only you 3 will go, in fact, but our whole family is also gonna go.”

After that we all ate dinner together where Aunt was telling me the secret recipe for her pancakes while Mom and Uncle were talking about Mom’s painting which Uncle is gonna put up in his hospital and Dad was talking to Grandpa about work, Mary was talking to Grandma about what changes her magical powers will have once she gets married and my two bros were talking about the recent football match.
