A month later, Scovia had fully recovered. Her vision was no longer blurry, and her memory was intact. She decided to visit her grandaunt Amanda; hence, she had something to ask her.
"Grandaunt!" called Scovia gently as she entered Amanda's cozy living room. "There is something I've meant to ask you. Do you have a moment?"
Amanda looked up from her book, sensing the seriousness in Scovia's voice. "Of course, dear. What is it?"
Scovia hesitated momentarily, then cautiously asked, "Well, actually, back then, was it your doing about the twins?"
Amanda sighed apologetically. "I am sorry for that, Scovia. However, it was the only way to protect you."
Confused, Scovia asked, "I don't get it. What do you mean?"
Amanda patted the seat next to her, motioning for Scovia to sit. "I have something to tell you. I think it's time to let you know the truth."
Scovia sat down, her heart beating faster with anticipation. "Go on, Grandaunt. I'm listening."
