A Grandfather's unexpected visit

Aiden was in his office, deeply engrossed in reviewing a pile of documents sprawled across his desk. The weight of responsibility hung heavy on his shoulders. The familiar sound of the door creaking open interrupted his reverie, and in walked Mr. McCoy, his grandfather and the patriarch of the family.

“Aiden, my boy, you can’t keep burying yourself in work like this,” Mr. McCoy said as he settled into the chair opposite Aiden’s desk, his presence commanding attention. “You need to take a break, go out, spend time with your friends. I know the pain of losing her still lingers, but drowning yourself in these documents won’t bring her back.”

Aiden, slightly surprised, asked, “Grandfather, why are you here?” he said, trying to mask his struggles.

Mr. McCoy, with a playful glint in his eyes, responded, “What, am I not allowed to visit my own company and check up on my favorite grandson?”

Aiden paused his work, made two cups of coffee, and joined his grandfather.
