Mommy is strong as an ox

The next morning, Irie raced down the stairs, her joyful laughter filling the house, only to find her father engrossed in his work on the laptop. Her younger brother, Liam, was deeply engaged in his tablet next to him. “Daddy!” she called out, leaping into his arms. “Where is Mommy?” she inquired, her eyes bright with curiosity.

“Mommy’s still sleeping, darling,” Aiden replied, a warm smile spreading across his face. “Your mother was busy with a special task last night.”

In his typical nonchalant manner, Liam remarked, “Yep, we might have a baby brother on the way.”

“Really? Daddy, I want a little sister so that I can protect her,” Irie expressed in her gentle, melodious voice. Aiden, their father, nodded in agreement.

Liam declared, “A brother will do just fine. We’ll protect you, Irie.”

“No, I will protect all of you,” proclaimed Irie with determination.
