Countless days we're flashing before all eyes and at this point the paranoia of living in the same city as her mother frightened her. She was not yet 18 so upon her mother finding her would be inevitable especially if authorities were involved.

"It's been almost 3 damn weeks lil girl, yo mama probably ain't lookin' for you like dat"

"She's out there looking Mr. Brown I feel it, I just know it" she replied, while tapping her foot profusely against the wooden floor of Mr Brown's home

"So what, you just gone stop goin' to school" he asked more rhetorically but received a response

"I guess so" she shrugged before resting her back into the couch. It had been over 2 weeks and Alycia hadn't set foot out of Mr. Brown's home the moment she'd arrived. Out of a grateful gesture, Alycia cleaned every inch of his home and even prepared meals he greatly enjoyed everyday.
