11 Tragedy 8

“Wait for me, Dora. I want to show Ahmed his suite.”

“It is all right, hubby. I’m waiting.”

She responded as she sat on the couch.

“This is your suite. We will leave for the office soon.”

“Thank you, boss. It is noted.”

Then, the International Vice Chairman walked out of the suite, leaving him to settle down.

Although, Mr. Ahmed Nura followed him to the suite, but it was out of respect. He wished to interact with the Lieutenant and his men to get the true position of the situation. Afterward, he joined his wife in the parlor, and they left for their suite. Then, he inquired.

“Dora, I hope the trip was not stressful?”

“No, hubby. I am fine.”

“It is okay. I will be back.”

Dora looked at him as he walked out of their suite to have a chat with Leon. Now, he needed to carry him along before he would break the news to his wife and mother.

Leon, who had been expecting Jeff, was elated when he heard the doorbell sound. He got off his bed and walked to the door at once. Then he greeted.

“Big brother, what…?”

He could not continue his question when he saw the person standing at the door.

“Leon, how are you?”

“Good morning, Mr. Israel. Welcome to Toronto.”

“Thank you.”

Now, they walked into the suite and Ken took his seat on the couch. Leon took his seat too and read his countenance, before he spoke.

“Where is Jeff?”

Leon narrated what transpired the previous day to him. Then, he gave a weak smile and said.

“Leon. You have to be strong. Jeff and father were attacked yesterday at the island. I have seen them at the Medical Center and the doctor said there was no need to panic.”

Mr. Israel was not aware of how much of his explanation that Leon heard because he was already lost in thought as his tears flowed freely. Then, he encouraged.

“This is not what I expect from you at the moment, Leon. I want you to be strong as we think of how to break the news to my wife and mother.”

Now, Leon was sobbing uncontrollably, and Mr. Israel had to be strong. Getting him to be on his side would solve fifty percent of his problem. Then, he moved over to his side and cuddled him.

“Leon, take it easy. Their cases are not as serious as they seemed. You have to be strong and stand by me. Did you get me?”

Then, he rested his head on Mr. Israel's shoulder and sobbed his heart out. When he was calm, Mr. Israel announced.

“I will wake mother up very soon. You have to give them the impression that it was nothing serious. Did you get me?”

“I got you.”

He sobbed out his response. Then, Mr. Ken Israel pacified him before he got off the room. He returned to his room to meet his wife, who was calm and attempting to settle down. Then he demanded.

“Let us see father and mother.”

Dora gave him a quizzical look and asked.

“Why? I think it is too early.”

“I know. But I have to because I am returning to the Industrial Area at once.”

“It is okay.”

She dropped the clothes that she was holding back into the wardrobe and left with her husband. When they got to Mr. Morris's suite, he pressed the doorbell and waited. Then, Jessica, who had a troubled night because that was the first time she was spending the night alone after their reunion, got up from her bed. When she noticed that a helicopter flew into the Manor, she was elated and waited for her husband to walk in. Now, she hurriedly walked to the door to receive him.

“A moment, hubby.”

She announced from the bedroom. Dora, who heard her, showed surprise and pointed out.

“It's like father isn't at home.”

Ken kept mute and waited for her to open the door. Soon, she opened the door and saw the last people she would imagine seeing at that time of the day. Then she found her bearings and called out.

“Son.”

Ken gave her a weak smile and responded.

“Yes, mother. Good morning to you.”

She looked at Dora, who wondered why Mr. Morris was not at home at that hour, and saw the puzzled look on her face. Then she greeted.

“Good morning, mother. Where is father?”

Now, they were already seated on the couches and before Jessica could respond to her question, she asked again.

“Where is father?”

Then, she looked at her husband, who was already moody, and asked.

“Hubby, was it father's aircraft that was attacked?”

Then, the troubled Jessica asked.

“Attacked?”

Nevertheless, Mr. Israel let the cat out of the bag out once and responded in the affirmative.

“Yes, mother. They were attacked yesterday afternoon.”

Now, Madam Jessica Murray could not believe what she just heard. She looked at Ken, who was trying to keep his emotions stable to avoid a panic. Then he assured them.

“It is not as serious as you think, mother.”

Then, Leon, who had taken control of his emotions, walked in leisurely and encouraged.

“They were stable before I left them yesterday.”

“They? Where is Jeff?”

Dora asked, and Jessica looked at Leon and asked.

“Where is Jeff?”

Leon took his seat beside her and assured.

“They were together when they were attacked. I kept it away from you, grandma so that you won't panic too much.”

Now, Leon's outlook gave them some boost. They felt that, if Leon, who witnessed the attack, could have such comportment, then, their conditions would not be that bad. Nevertheless, Leon had made Mr. Israel's work less cumbersome. Then, he spoke.

“Mother, get ready. We will visit the Medical Center at once. I intend to move them to the Surgery Center donated to the church in Dora's honor after she was kidnapped.”

Jessica, who was lost in thought as she reminisced on how she suffered without her husband for over three decades jolted from her reverie, dried the tears that were dropping freely down her cheek and asked.
