9) Joining The combat team

I fell unconscious due to excessive loss of blood. The only thing I heard before fainting was the scream of the Velociraptor. I woke up in the infirmary again but this time Jake was lying in the bed next to me and Amber was sleeping on Jake's lap. Amber woke up hearing me get out of the bed and was shocked. She then notified me about what happened after I fainted.

Just seconds before I fainted Amber woke up. The Velociraptor pounced on her but was stabbed by a Triceratops. It seems my triceratops was still gathering berries for me and it senses me nearby so it came to me but saw me lying wounded on the ground. I guessed that it was probably the raptor who did that to me and stabbed the raptor with its horns.

Amber wanted to take me and injured Jake to the base so she asked my Triceratops to help carry us to the base. We were put in the infirmary and that's the end of that story. I went outside to see my Triceratops sleeping outside of the infirmary. It woke up after sensing my smell and was delighted that I didn't die.

I gave it mejoberries it collected until it was full. I heard Jake scream after waking up. It seems he couldn't believe that his friend died. I can't do anything in that situation so I took my Triceratops to the Dinosaur pen built by the production team which is an area where your dinosaurs will be taken care of by people who have skills that are useless for any other categories.

I left my Triceratops at the dinosaur pen and reported to Guildmaster Kyle. He thanked me once again for saving his daughter's life while I apologised because we were only ambushed because of my mistake. He asked me to report to the combat team since I have finished all my personal matters. I went to the graveyard made by the production team where you can write the name of the dead if you are unable to bring back their body.

I wrote Pat the Parasaur on one of the empty tombstones and left. This is no time to be worrying about the dead but the time to move forward and survive. I went to the combat team's base and joined as the recruit. The leader said, " Welcome to the combat team I am the captain you can call me Lucus. I will introduce my team now".

"She is Luna, the healer of our squad, next that is Harry who specialises in close-range combat. I am the tanker of this squad and my skill allows me to attract hostile enemies and my other skill is body hardening. This is Elvis who specializes in scouting and archery and finally, she is Minerva who specializes in long-range skills. "

After Captain finished his speech a scout opened the door saying a pack of Dilophosaurus are too close to the base. Everyone in the combat team had already tamed a Parasaur so that they can rush to a location as fast as possible. Since I didn't have one Harry started complaining asking " How could a weakling like you who couldn't even tame a Parasaur be sent to join the combat team? "

I explained everything that happened and was allowed to ride with Harry on his Parasaur. This is my first mission after joining the Guild. This is going to be exciting or so I thought.
