12) Cruelty of this world

I saw smoke coming from the direction of Rising Phoenix Guild headquarters. I rushed back to see the whole base burning. The base was being attacked when half of the members were away from the base. I rushed to find any survivors but I heard Harry scream to the left. I went there to see Harry being attacked not by dinosaurs but by humans.

There were multiple attackers. They were cleaning out the remaining survivors. I could only watch as people died in front of me. Sure I could sneak attack and kill one of them but then I would be fighting against god-knows how many members. This is different from facing multiple Dilos and if I rush in blindly it would only lead to an inevitable death.

All the attackers had a similar symbol on their armour. It was a picture of a spider with eight legs. I remember seeing a similar symbol on the Dilo tamer guy and asking Lucus before. He said " The symbol of a spider with eight legs denotes the symbol of the guild poison fang. The leader is the head and 8 of the strongest members are ranked based on their power from 1st leg to eighth leg.

I wanted to see if I could find someone who hasn't been caught and I heard a notification sound in my head. It said, " You tame Tom the triceratops has died ". This made me angry but I couldn't do anything. I felt as if I lost a part of myself and chose to play it safe. This is not a time to be caring about others. This is a kill-or-be-killed world and if I show any sympathy it will only lead to death.

I left the base with my Dilo vowing to take revenge on the Poison Fang when the time comes. I was blocked by a scout who said " Oh looks like we missed one he looks weak so I will finish him off myself ". His skill is teleport which can teleport him up to 5 meters and the cooldown time is 10 seconds.

He used his teleport skill to teleport behind me thinking I didn't know how his skill worked. I absorbed some of the damage and pierced his head with a spear. Using a narcotic spear on someone who is going to die is a waste of resources. He had twin daggers made of iron as his weapon. The core members of Poison Fang all had full sets of Iron gear.

I was invited by some other guilds but I refused to join any of them. After Poison Fang attacked the Rising Phoenix there was a Nerf in how many dinosaurs you can tame per person. When the Poison Fang attacked they killed all the scouts on duty and charged with a line of Triceratops. They killed off the survivors by themselves and with around 80 Dilos.

Guess I was lucky that I didn't run into any dinosaurs of Poison Fang if I did then I would have probably died facing an army. The news about the destruction of Rising Phoenix was spread all over the community. Other guilds started to be hostile towards Poison Fang and Poison Fang and its members went into hiding.

It has been a month since coming to this world. Since I am not in a guild I sold some unique blueprints made using my knowledge Skill and exchanged them for resources that are limited to other environments and some rare materials.

I could also trade for information in exchange for blueprints. It is possible to check if the information is false or not up to the product I trade then they would have to give me more information or they not be able to trade for a month if the information is false. With this, I learnt my position and a rough idea of how the whole island is.

Before I could tell you about what I did this last month I suddenly heard a loud voice say "ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL PLAYERS"
