The whole leaving for school antics were probably more worse than the daunting nature of residency. The school takes two different types of applications, one for residency and the other one for day school. Whilst most pupils apply for a residency spot, the few local people opt for day school as it costs less and also due to convenience.

I was applied for a residency spot and had attended my examinations a couple days back. From the induction day tour, I think my stay there will be quite pleasant. But heading there for good really puts things into perspective.

Mom was wailing and crying the entire way which was annoying but I understand why so I just put up with it. Meanwhile elder sister Fatima consoled her and tried to calm her. My father was by the conductor and made small talk with him. My other siblings were left at home with the maids to look after them. Father didn't deem it appropriate that they come. That led to a whole other water works block as I was boarding the caravan.

The only good thing about this whole ordeal is probably the fact that Shareef is staying with me. Mother has become paranoid with the idea I would be there all alone hence she convinced father to let Shareef attend with me. He gave in after her persistent attempts and so there you have it. Honestly, I'm actually relieved he will be tagging along so then at least I'll have one familiar face in a strange crowd.

Currently we are on route and are fast approaching the school...

"We're here!" a familiar voice called out. I woke up. It was Shareef. He helped me up and on my feet. I didn't even realise I had fallen asleep.

We arrived and it was just as massive as it had been before. The walls are grand and lofty with bricks stacked on top of each other. The roof is an array of some blue wood that lined the top in tiles.

The windows are chamber-like and broad. The Doors are big and tall. The golden knockers are also quite pristine. A big campus with a huge open track field for sports and other events.

The building holds the kitchen, dining hall, lavatories and boarding facilities on one side and the other side holds these school faculty. The lecture halls, and staff facilities.

We head in and are shown to my dorms. Shareef helps me unload my belongings from the caravan. I help out too since it is a lot. Once we had finished unpacking, my parents gave me a few final words of advice and encouragement followed by my sister giving me a little of her own advice and then they were off. Mother almost was about to tear up but held her ground probably to see me off well. They departed and we waved them off.

Now it was just Shareef and I. "Right, we best start putting your stuff out now." Shareef suggests.

"Not now please," I beg "I'm fully worn out from unpacking." I replied. He thought for a moment. "Fine!" he affirms. I sigh as we take a break.
